Mark is the wrong coach

Frankly you have no clue. All you have to do is look at the record. No, he hasn't won an SEC in 10 years BUT he averaged 10 wins per year, ran an honest clean program and will do the same at Miami. The difference is that in the division you play in that will be enough to get to the ACCCG. Win that and you are in the playoff. Richt will do that faster than Smart does it at UGA.

get wayyy the fk outta here with the bolded.

is that what we need in Miami right now? a nice clean program lmao

we just want to be good enough to win the coastal and get to the ACC championship game?
so now we are trying to back our way into the playoffs by lucking out and winning an easy conference?

my how times have changed

considering our recent history with the ncaa, yeah, it's probably in our best interest to stay out of trouble for a while.

Mark underperformance at GA is well known. Now that he is the coach at Miami. Once again this administration has felled its fan base. All the talking heads and reporters are building this as a great hire. And three to four years. We will be right back here again in mediocrity. We were suppose to get excellence not just good enough.

i dont know about you but I dont give a flying fk about an honest clean program. i want to get back to winning.
you know how many programs have gotten in trouble with the ncaa? a ****load. and they have gotten in more trouble than we did.

why do we have to be the ones to act like our main priority is to run a clean honest program? in other words you are saying our main priority is not winning.

its not that serious, our ncaa troubles were overblown. for godsakes we only lost 9 fkin scholarships and missed a chance to back our way into winning the acc coastal wooptee fkin doo.

Fourth in most wins in first 15 years in ncaaf history.

And NO 'SHIPS....man the pha99otry is running deep in here

It runs deep you say. My question to you is, out of all available options, not pipe dreams, who has actually won ships that UM should've hired?

We're about to see where the ***'tory starts and ends with your response.

not everybody had the opportunity for success that Richt did at Georgia. All these 10 and 11 win seasons and no championship after 15 years?

Was Schiano supposed to win a ship at Rutgers? Cristobal at FIU? (and for the record I didnt want either of the two) Butch at UNC? etc etc

However, in Butch's last season as HC at UM he accomplished more than Richt ever has. Not to mention what that team went on to do after he left.

Ive been spouting #BBB since the season began. I wanted him here, but who would have thought we would have landed Mark Richt? Its a stellar hire.

how many active coaches have won one?

how many active coaches have had the opportunity he had? at Georgia an SEC school with resources with "10-11 wins a year" still no championship success after 15 years. cant compare him to guys coaching at rutgers, fiu, unc, miss st etc

uga has 2 championships in the history of the school. they're not a top-tier sec program no matter how much espn hypes them up. and what did butch accomplish that richt hasn't? win 11 games in a season? richt won 12 games in 2012.

Bull****. Do you think it's easier to win a national championship at Georgia or UM??? If you say UGA turn in your Cane card. UGA might be in the top twenty in terms of CFB jobs in terms of having a shot to win the NC, but UM is in the top five. ANY coach should win more games at UM than they would at UGA. Partly becuase of the level of competition UGA faces in the SEC, but more so because a good coach at UM has the most fertile recruting grounds in the country. Put Butch Davis at UGA, and he's winning 6-7 games a year.

your kidding me right? how old are you? butch won 12 games his last year and got screwed out of NC game by computers (i believe we finished ranked 2nd). that season alone is more successful than any season richt has had.

and why do we always look at past failures to justify future failures? who cares UGA only won 2 before him. Everybody keeps saying how he wins 11 every year...after 15 years he couldnt even get to the championship at least once (not even win it, just make it)??

same way people say "we sucked for 10 years, so 10 wins a season is better than anything we have done". oh really? so now we are lowering expectations? we dont want to win championships? we just want to be better than were before and make "progress"? gtfoh with that loser mentality.

eat a dk. when i say '"we" i am talking about the real Miami Hurricanes...not this new sissified sht we got going on now where everybody would lose their mind and have a parade if we won the coastal.

wrong, butch superfan. we won 11 games that year. and yes, we did get screwed out of that championship game, but the fact remains that butch doesn't have a ring. you can throw maybes all you want. if my grandma had a **** she'd be my grandpa.

I understand that, but HE doesn't have a ship to his name. I own and have worn my BBB shirt many times, so I'm not throwing shade at Butch, but to say this is a bad hire based on ship count is the epitome of fa'tory.
