Mark Fletcher Jr was eating

He had a good game. Looks like bambi in the open field still though.

Still really don't like all the A gap runs. Against USF who we outclass it works sometimes - especially late. But other opponents.... We'll see. Luckily Beck has been consistently picking up whats easy AND pushing the ball down field. We need the explosive plays. If it's not going to be through the run game due to the complete inability to do anything but repeatedly spam A/B gap runs, then it's gotta come through the pass game like last season. So far it has. If it continues, I'm fine if Fletcher is picking up 5ypc...

It's hard for these over 6'2 RBs. He reminds me of Brandon Jacobs of the Giants and he was a good RB in the league.
.... Jacobs was 6'4" 260lbs. lol. So if he's reminding you of Brandon Jacobs at 30lbs less and 2" shorter... yeah that's kinda the problem lol.

The greatest teammate there is. Welcomes & supports all competition. Does work with the ball is in his hands & has taken a clear step foward this year. Love him & wish him all the success he can handle.
Seem like great person. Easy to cheer for.

My favorite player on the team. He looks slim for a 'big back' and definitely faster than his previous two seasons at Miami. He's on a mission in 2025.

I don't think its a bad thing to be compared to Jacobs. The running style is similar. Why is it a bad thing to be compared to a superbowl champion RB?

No im saying being compared to a guy moving the same as you who is AT LEAST 30+lbs heavier isn't a very big compliment. It's not that these big backs can't be successful. It's that saying well Jacobs was successful... but Jacobs was 6'4" 265lbs at his lowest and ran a 4.56 40 with a 37" vert. Like maybe you can say similar style or look, but one guy was doing it FAR bigger and probably more athletic still... Maybe THAT was having a big impact in him being as successful while having zero agility...

True cane, stayed home, works his *** off and shows respect.

He has had some injuries and some fumbling but at the end of the day he is a real one. Will be a local legend forever. Happy for the kid he has been through a lot.

4.90 a carry as a freshman.

5.42 last year coming off an injury with virtually no off-season.

6.48 a carry this year.

By the way, Damien Martinez averaged 6.30 a carry last year. You know, the guy we didn’t think we could replace. So far, so good.

(The ceiling of this rushing attack will not be reached until Lyle comes back 100%, by the way. But Fletcher is running hard and breaks a **** ton of tackles)
