Sounds just like the excuses the Manny Apologists use to try explain when he loses to less talented teams… like the teams you referenced above. What was Michigan states or UVA ranked?
But we’re talking about Oregon. One of the 5 stars (flowe) was hurt and another, the OT transffered out. Yet he still won 10 games.
Nice talk bud. Logic doesn’t seem to be your strong suit.Sounds just like the excuses the Manny Apologists use to try explain when he loses to less talented teams… like the teams you referenced above.
Thank you offer this MF 10 milForget Mario and Lane. Kyle Whittingham is a helluva coach.
They were 6th in the cfp rankings prior to the bowl games. I mean, notwithstanding the arbitrary “sniff” standard, that’s pretty close to being a playoff team. Sure, they shouldn’t have lost to a bad asu team two weeks earlier, but genius Eddy O and Burrow would’ve carved them up (just like they did Saban, Riley and dabo) and you’d still be able to fall back on “couldn’t win it all doe.”I mean when you have a generational QB like Justin Herbert and can’t even sniff the CFP because you choke in every big game you coach in, it’s a bad look.
stanford's not a good team, and it was a very bad loss- no getting around that. i will say though that the reason stanford absolutely bottomed out this year is their starting QB went down and they've had a carousel of garbage ever since- and that injury happened after the oregon game.oregon's loss to stanford is the real head scratcher...they are absolutely horrible. you can say that utah was the better "team" (even though oregon vastly out talents them)...but losing to a stanford team that finished second to last in the pac 12 at 3-9 is pretty inexcusable. the narrative of miami distractions at the time of the stanford loss is null and void...no distractions for oregon at the time and mario **** the bed.
Did you watch that game? Mario’s OC right before the game was checked into the hospital… granted his offense had already been suspect with Morehead to begin with but it was even more awful yet they were still in position to winoregon's loss to stanford is the real head scratcher...they are absolutely horrible. you can say that utah was the better "team" (even though oregon vastly out talents them)...but losing to a stanford team that finished second to last in the pac 12 at 3-9 is pretty inexcusable. the narrative of miami distractions at the time of the stanford loss is null and void...no distractions for oregon at the time and mario **** the bed.
i watched a good chunk of the game...but you have to look at talent level as well. is there a question how much more talented oregon's roster is than stanford's? even with that adversity, to lose that game is quite telling. The utah losses are super concerning as well, trust me. Losing to another team that you out talent, twice, in the span of 3 weeks, in blow out fashion. just not a good look.Did you watch that game? I’m nervous more about these dominating wins by Utah… they got punched in the mouth and didn’t respond back and I didn’t think that was Mario’s MO for a team…. But well see cause he’s gonna be our HC
I have stated I prefer Lane.
That being said, it is still absolutely crazy to think we're going to have a bunch of miserable, crying Lane fanboys vomiting all over CIS after Mario is announced as HC tomorrow.
Like, you can be skeptical, cause this program looks like its cursed. It's annoying as ****. There are great posters with concerns about Mario, and I get it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but YOu have the other as$holes that complain no matter what happens.
