Mario on Joe Rose tomorrow: 7 am

Take the explosive plays away from any back his ave will drop. Part of all backs stats
Understand that but not sure Knighton (or Chaney) is up to being a heavy-duty prime back. Maybe Mario will go with a RB-by-Committee approach if no one clearly separates himself.

So what, like a couple hundred thousand people are watching their show in the mornings?
Bout half a mill, which is up. There'll probably be a slight drop off after the Super Bowl, and then a cliff dive in the summer, as is usually the case.

Most people watch these shows in segments on social media or streaming. The days of people sitting down and watching 1-2 hours of a show are over and never coming back. It's changed all of TV.

If he mentioned this, he absolutely has a mole on his staff that their only job is to be on this site 24/7 because this has absolutely been an ongoing narrative on CIS. That he handcuffed Herbert and didnt max his potential out and he could do the same to TVD. Glad he threw these stats out there.
Lmao bro.. that was a ongoing narrative while he was still at oregon

Interesting they had 88 drops at Oregon with Herbert. There's been a lot of questions about the offense at Oregon. Herbert was handicapped by the young receivers, then they were held back by the QB last year.
The Dolphins really blew it, all the signs and measurable's were there but I'm also a Chargers fan so the Dolphins stupidity has been a great thing for me

Oh I one hundred percent agree with the way TV watching has changed over the last 10 years. I think anybody under 35 streams virtually 100% of the time, people over 35 probably some combination thereof of streaming and the “old fashion regular TV watching by time“. But it’s all headed towards virtually 100% streaming/subscriptions, and in short order. Even AT&T which probably has one of the oldest systems still in place, is encouraging new customers to go to the streaming platform.

Honestly, nowadays, probably the only thing I watch using the “old method“ is live sports. Whether an ESPN or local network affiliate, but even then, about half the time, I’m streaming it on some platform whether it’s Apple TV or Roku, or one of the shltty Samsung apps on one of my Samsung TVs

The only issue with streaming is things like college football games where some services like Sling won't let you pause the game. once somebody gets that down pat, cable and satellite will disappear.

You'd think ESPN would be using that money they've been extorting cable customers for all these years for just such a purpose.

You’ve hit on the one really major disadvantage, is that whatever platform you’re using, usually you can’t pause, unless you’re using YouTube TV which I don’t think has huge market penetration, the old systems with DVR‘s works great for live sports. I absolutely 100% agree that that’s something that they all have to work out. For example ESPN app won’t let you pause live TV or record, as far as I can recall, but you can rewatch later, they usually put it in the archives right away.

I also think Hulu/live has the pause/record option for sports, but I only have regular Hulu I don’t have that particular option version.

three things stand out from this interview and a few others he's had.

1. OL and DL are the principle focus. regardless of how the game has evolved, the game continues to be won at the line of scrimmage. this principle has been reaffirmed time after time in the playoffs, including when Kansas City lost to Tampa Bay and it was clear Mahomes had less than a second to throw the ball.

2. It is all about work and not talking or tweeting.

3. post career internships. this is huge considering most players never play beyond college.

Thing is, even with those explosive plays, Knighton only averaged 3.9 YPC for the season. That's not even pedestrian or mediocre for a starting college back, that's simply below average. And only 20 receptions.

I think we all see the potential there, but let's not pretend he's something that he's not. He's a change of pace/passing downs back who would be used most efficiently at around 12 touches per game with at least 1/3 of those being receptions. He's Rooster, not a bellcow.

I used to watch Sports Center while getting ready for work every morning. Now, I occasionally check in on SVP at night, maybe once or twice a month on average. I do not think my experience is unique. They have turned a lot of people off. Comparing their ratings today, to a year ago or a month ago is meaningless. Nothing goes down in a straight line to zero, but that is still the general direction for ESPN.

Stick to sports, clowns. And show a little bit of humility and humor.

I’ll bet it’s been at least 15 years, but they used to be fun to watch, a lot of their anchors were humorous and they focused virtually on sports. I mean to me when they had a tranny win a courage award for being a tranny, that’s when I said this has completely jumped the shark.

So this has been happening for a decade and a half or more, I remember when the *** linebacker from Missouri came out in the draft, every time I turned on ESPN there was a shot of him kissing his boyfriend. I mean I don’t care if the guy is *** or not, but I don’t need to see dudes having tongue wrestling demonstrations on every single break. that’s when it finally hit me they had an agenda
