Mario NOT a Top 30 HC According to ESPN

honestly - GameDay coach he is awful, doesn't even talk to the team for the most part during the game- don't ever see him hyping or motivating any players - usually by himself

we are starting to see some key players take us less seriously because Mario isn't doing so well recruiting in the hood or at least in some circles down in south fla, parents are starting to view him diff

from a former player of his, once the recruitment is over and your on the squad he fades away.

hope he isn't to stubborn to fix himself but we all know how stubborn he is

hope he can figure this out and play the right players too

would love to see him more involved with the players on game day and make some good adjustments on his end

The same guy who didn’t take a knee vs GT. Got out coached by Fran brown and Brent Key isn’t a top 30, coach!?!

Brent Key couldn't outcoach Sebastian the Ibis. Stop it. Just because a game is close doesn't mean someone was "outcoached".

Miami had 508 total yards in that game to VT's 394. We had the ball for almost 34 minutes. And we won the game. Give me a break.

Cam Ward had 3 turnovers, once giving VT the ball on our 31, another deep in the redzone taking points off the board, and another in the redzone that was returned 17 yards into our redzone. Which Elijah Arroyo saved a TD on with Herculean effort. Clearly "coached" to try hard.

**** like this is so dumb. Go ask any VT fan on the planet if Brent Key could outcoach an empty Coors Light can. They tried to go for the jugular and fake a FG, like retards, and it got snuffed out and we wound up winning the game. Maybe Malik Bryant and Elijah Arroyo and Xavier Restrepo from his *** on a 4th down were coached to make game-winning football plays. Or....maybe football players play football.

Brother Brent Key is GT’s HC and GT 474747849493947477400000% outcoached us this year, it’s not even debatable.

Idk who rage baited more, OP or the article title lol

Turns out to be a solid article tho maybe can be used to judge future hires, they are basically weeding out coaches who takeover an already great program to see which coaches have gotten more out of less

Napier took over a team with 29 wins the previous 3 seasons before he took over, he then proceeds to win 19 games the next 3 seasons

Based off their own formula TrumpyCane wants to know how the **** they got Napier at 13

LMAOOOOOOO.

Going back to my coffee.

I read Brent Pry.

My apologies, and have no mercy on my soul.

Yes, Brent Key owns Miami's manhood.

**** Fran Brown though, he didn't outcoach ****, we just sucked balls on defense and they abused us, man to man. That wasn't coaching. But it was Mario's fault the defense was an abortion.

My apologies though, @Gocanes1990

Great opportunity to silence his critics. He could win a bowl game or the conference.

One of the worst hires VT could have made, TrumpyCane wants to know why they didn't throw whatever Shane Beamer wanted at him

also no idea why Drones stayed there

Not sure Shane Beamer would have taken the VT job, especially after having coached at bigger programs and enjoying inherent recruiting advantages at those schools.
VT had some pretty good programs under daddy Beamer, but it was during an era where neighboring schools like UNC, Maryland and UVA were having problems recruiting Balt-DC, Richmond and Tidewater area for various reasons, including bad coaching and turnover.
For all their game day atmosphere and massive alum presence in the Balt-DC area as well as in the state, the campus sits in the middle of nowhere. The big recruits are often as close to UNC, StatePenn, MD and other big-time programs as VT.
South Carolina is a better job.

that whole exchange was hilarious knowing you misread the name cuz there's no denying Key stuffed Mario in a locker
