We are a coach away from being good.
One?
We are a coach away from being good.
And that great play they came up with after the timeout …… smfhHe's not wrong. Mario messed up using the TO but I get it. He's trying to let the offense get in the best play to score. Defense gave up 38 points on a day where our anemic offense produced 31 points.
And we did Both! LmaoPlease tell me you are trolling. A DOG penalty is worth less than the TO, because even if you don't get the TD, they're trapped and you have 3 TOs to stop the clock. There's a good chance Miami gets the ball back with good/great field position with a minute left with a chance to tie. The one thing you can't do is give up a TO and NOT SCORE.
Its going to be brutal the next few years.
I didnt believe in the defense in this game either, which is why him going sooo conservative and playing for a tie didnt make any sense earlier in the 4th.I guess I just look at it differently than some of y’all. I didn’t believe in our defense stopping them again so yes I thought that play was the game if we didn’t score.
Problem is the players are getting better but if Mario keeps game day coaching like this it won’t matter if players and culture change.Miami is in the second year of a total rebuild. You cant flip a switch and be good and change the culture of a program. It takes time.
But if you get a catch it’s a first down and game is over. And don’t tell me what I saw or what I believe. I believe you make sure you have the best play call 100% and if you have to burn a timeout you do that to make sure you have the best play call. I hate arguing but some people on this board are so anti mario they can’t think critically and understand someone else’s opinion. Clearly you are one of those.Them throwing on third down is unlikely because if there's a drop, there's an incompletion, it stops the clock and allows Miami to keep a TO in their pocket(Had Miami not botched it in the first place). Never mind the fact that Plummer is extremely turnover prone and they wanted to take the ball out of his hands. It's beyond obvious that you didn't think this through. This isn't a disagreement, this is you being stubborn and reading to argue, not comprehend.
This isn’t that complicated. You don’t know if you stop them and I wouldn’t waste my one down from the 3 yard line thinking we were going to.Except we did stop them but had no time to come back.
A play designed for restrepo that was covered then there was two clear holds on the other side and a bad throw by van dyke. Don’t think it was a bad play at all.And that great play they came up with after the timeout …… smfh
100% you can't call that timeout than throw a 50/50 ball to your 5'10 170lbs receiverTO was fine IMO but not for that play call. It was cheeks.
Good time to run that misdirection TD we saw vs ATM.
The problem is, its game 11 and this type of "confustion" , in critical, situational football, Mario and his team has ****ed it up pretty much everytime. He can't manage a game at all. His team is incredibly undiscipline and that a direct reflection of his mismanagement from the off the field stand point as well. If Mario was better at his job, this would be a 2-3 loss team. Iowa is 9-2 now they absolutely suck but Kirk Ferentz can manage a ball game.I guess I just look at it differently than some of y’all. I didn’t believe in our defense stopping them again so yes I thought that play was the game if we didn’t score.
Everyone on both sidelines knew where the ball was going, was a wasted time out.A play designed for restrepo that was covered then there was two clear holds on the other side and a bad throw by van dyke. Don’t think it was a bad play at all.
I disagree, think the timeout was fine and the play call. Bad throw by van dykeEveryone on both sidelines knew where the ball was going, was a wasted time out.

Think that's right...but with the way the D was playing, I'm not too upset. Probably though that was the last time they'd touch the ball. And if we're being honest, it was almost was due to the penalty. As much as I hate the coaches, they know the players. I think today showed why breshard isn't a starter. The route running and penalties on him were terrible. No coach worth a darn would call a timeout there.
If their team didn’t have the right play with the clock running down more coaches would call that timeout than not. If it worked no one would be talking about it.No coach worth a darn would call a timeout there.
