Mario Cristobal, Your Seat is Officially Lukewarm

Not making a long post. Obviously a lot of people have been out for a while now, but this loss should be a pretty resounding one.

4 Years, endless money at his disposal compared to predecessors.

0 ACCCG Appearances
0 CFP Appearances

Another loss as a double-digit favorite (opener).

Undisciplined behavior, continuously wilting against inferior competition in the back end of the season.

He’s not getting fired now or next year. But the stove is on, that much is for **** sure. Vent away, gents. This + the refs is infuriating (even I’m now f the ACC refs).

We deserve better. Hopefully some of you see the reality now.
Genuinely, who wins here with the deck so stacked against them?

I'm curious. Complete blank cheque, which HC are you bringing in that can overcome the Conference doing everything they can to ensure Miami loses games?

Bottomline is Louisville loss was bad enough but to lose to this smu team was inexplicable. Pathetic no matter what the excuses.

Mario isn't being fired ... not this year or next or the year after. The Columbus gang will keep their boy in there, but the fan base is going to decline significantly as far as game attendance. Life is short, there are too many things to do on a Saturday (+ travel day) for non Miami Dade County fans to travel, book hotels, flights, rental cars etc. Too bad ... not sure where this leaves the UM football program ... as an "also ran" and candidate for the B12 once the next realignment hits? Or basically a G5 program in a weak ACC after that. Glad I was around to experience the glory day games under Dennis and Butch.

Complete blank check?

Imagine Lane calling plays and Heatherman on D, we’re undefeated and probably a top 2 team in the country.

But since Lane is taboo on here, I can name 30+ offensive minded HC’s that would cook up some good stuff with our NIL budget + hire a competent / elite DC. I just don’t have the breath to do so right now, and it’s all moot since Mario isn’t getting fired.

There are A LOT of good coaches in this sport that prepare well, scheme around deficiencies, and adapt to what’s going on in live time.

You're overstating the financial impact these people have.
Possibly, I’m not going to act like I know how the money is distributed and what % each faction contributes.

I just don’t think our funding is directly tied to Mario like it was in Y1 and Y2. If anyone knows better, I’m all ears.

Normally, a tie game, 25 seconds on the clock, only one timeout and starting at your 25 equals take a knee and play for OT.

But today wasn’t that time. We have a guy that can kick it 60 yards. Playing a defense that has a ****hole for a secondary. A QB that was on fire. A o-line that had not given up a sack.

Clock stops on a first down. One timeout. That’s three plays.

Your season is on the line.

Go and try to win the game
With the season on the line, this buffoon of a head coach ***** his trousers once again. We all remember last season when UM was running the ball down Syracuse's throat the in the 4th, but he settles for a field goal to cut the 'Cuse lead to 4 and relies on a defense that had blown a 21-0 lead. Nothing he does on the sidelines makes any sense at all. He does not play to win. This program will win absolutely nothing meaningful with him at the helm.

No one questions a 150 yards in timely penalties to a measley 15 yards
One of SMUs penalties even favored them 30 yards.

I don't want to blame the refs or the conference but the deck seems to get stacked higher and higher against us every year.

While our gameplan and execution can certainly be questioned and blamed, the ACC also does whatever it can to make it hard or impossible for us to win conference games.

If the money was being spent regardless of the HC, we would've made a thorough search.

We didn't. We had our sights set on one guy and one guy only. Take that dude away and nobody can tell me that the financial commitment towards the football program will remain the same. Absolutely not.

Fly the banners! No serious program would put up with this degree of ineptitude. I don’t give two ***** if Mario is a “Miami guy”
