Miami wasn't a top notch place for coaches last time around and because of idiots like this its going to be even less of place that any coach in America would want to come to.

This delusion that every coach wants to come here is a joke. FN Larry Scott will likely turn the job down if offered.

The only guy who really seems to want it is a 64 old coach who couldn't get hired by a high school team and who will not get hired.

The Miami fanbase has a higher % of LDs than the FSU football team. Really not sure why those guys are not rooting for FSU... would just make more sense.

If something like this stops us from locking up recruiting this time around you very well could have just ended any chance of Miami being significant again.

Dan Mullen interviewed for the job. Leach also wanted it and I'm sure there were others.

I think Mario would bring a ton of questions, but I think he would get the majority of the recruits he wants. The coaches and players have spoken, plus he can also use the I learned whatever from Saban card. I actually think he would do a better recruiting job than Butch at this point.

Can he coach and form a successful staff? That's my hesitation at this point.

I almost hope he gets hired at this point. The amount of **** talked about him by this fanbase is epic. I'm by no means excusing him at FIU, but toss Saban or Meyer in there I'd predict no more than an extra win or two.
