Manny will call Plays in 2021, Jess Back as DL Coach

I will be a contrarian here and say I don’t mind it. I personally loved watching Manny’s defense when he called the plays. Improved the play caller and the defensive line and secondary coaching. I hate that Baker is retained, and not a fan of Patke at all, but I’m not going call the entire reorganization a fail because of it. Manny just put his future in his own hands, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Literally no clue how Baker is still DC/LB coach.

As DC he won’t be calling plays, and as LB coach he will be responsible for arguably the worst position group on the team and also provide no recruiting value.

Just fire the man and put Telly Lockette at LB coach.

Manny choosing to still call plays shows me he didn't get the big picture. It's extremely difficult to be a successful HC (CEO-type) and also being deeply involved on one side of the ball.

The HC shouldn't also be the DC....and I can't understand why he is doing it.

exactly, in life if you try and please everybody, -- most of the time you please nobody.

Again, some of these moves and additions seem really good. But Manny failed to pull the trigger on what most of us think is the most important decision of this off-season

It boils down to who was available

Nobody AVAILABLE was better than Manny calling plays. Idk how ppl could be mad right now
 
Could this be a budget thing? Maybe they don't have the money for a big time DC. Just trying to make sense of this bull****.

I know there’s one prominent player who’s a big Rumph guy. This is 100% political. The dude is in the recruiting dept lol. Let me repeat “ he’s in the recruiting dept”. This is as comical as paying a dc 500 k + to chill on game days. Unreal.
