Manny Survives (For now)

Once he made it through Friday night I didn’t expect him to get fired until the next bludgeoning. Blake and administration are hoping he somehow gets a few lucky wins getting in the ACC race to save all of their jobs. He’ll be gone latest after the NC State game.
Imo the earliest I could see was after he started dropping acc games , at some point there’s nothing left for him to play for. If they want to give him a chance to get eliminated from Acc play cool, but it’s inevitable.

The ACC being as bad as it is this year is going to give him a few more games of rope, because "technically" we could still get to the ACCCG. Board members have already made up their mind surely, and its just a matter of when. A beat down by UNC accelerates the process, and that weekend would be the earliest, but eventually, I can not imagine he survives the year, nevermind being the coach in 2022.

I'd get rid of him ASAP, but I also don't of any logistical hurdles that might be in place to just kick the guy to the curb. I'd like to see an interim guy in there coaching to prove himself (T-Rob, Likens, Justice, idk...one of'em) and the young guys run wild in what will be otherwise, a wasted season.

this next stretch will be interesting , especially if Mack does what we expect.

This is what I’m hoping for. Until then there’s just a lot of apathy on my end towards this season. It’s like waiting on a terminally ill person to be pulled off of life support.

We are eliminated to anyone who has a clue and understands what they are watching. Must be $ issue.
That is concerning as ****. If they're already penny pinching its hard to believe they'll actually pay for a good coach when the option is on the table. It screams blake james + cheapest buyout = next coach.

I'm going to keep beating this drum until someone from the Hecht reads it and panics.

By keeping Manny around until his buyout drops, THEY risk Manny losing to FSU. Everyone with a pulse knows Manny could lose any game to anybody at any time. If Frenk felt insulted when Herbstreet questioned the university's commitment, he's really going to hate life if that **** happens. He'll want to go into hiding just to get away from the backlash. Why risk it?!

Get rid of Justice, too

Unless the team quits on him and there’s no shot to win the costal he won’t be fired till after season even with unc and nc state beating us like we did to central conn st Which is def going to happen. The buyout will be significant less when regular season ends.

and James isn’t firing Diaz. He’s hoping the with off season success and a turn around the rest of season will allow them both to keep collecting huge pay checks for mediocrity
Unless? Right now any juice from this team is being provided by the freshmans. And a transfer from oklahoma. Lets see where it all is a month from now

Even if Mack doesn’t fully skull F*** him, there is a good chance NCST & Pitt will do it.

Need some large defeats. Single digit loses probably won’t do it even if he’s 0-3 these next 3 games.

Eh, this entire forum was jerking off Zion Nelson as a potential R1 pick (I know he's not, but I digress)...that's Justice.

Our OL was so bad, we had to get two mid-tier OL from G5 to even field a unit (Williams and Oluwaseun) and they are two of our five best.

The OL hasn't been great at all. But the reality is there is not much at all to work with.

I think he's recruited pretty well up until this year.

With all that said...he can get lawst at the end of the year, too. But, for now, someone needs to be an interim head coach and while it was a nothing job in the middle of nowhere, he at least has a little experience head coaching college football.
