Manny on Joe Rose

We didn’t fail offensively because of budget. We failed because of the choice of offensive staff.
If you don’t think budget has something to do with this I’ll just ask you to look at the hires the last 2 decades. We are very cheap which has led to cheap results.

we have like 4 ppl on our support staff while Bama got about 50. Don’t get me started on UGA having people dedicated to just showing kids love through social media and things of that nature. We so far behind and cheap it’s ridiculous

Lazy journalism. A cursory Google search told us that Enos never had top offenses aside from one decent season at Arkansas when he had a lot of talent on the OL, and that he wasn’t even calling plays at Bama.
Our coaches are always late to realize what our fans knew a year or two previously. Manure just today seemed to realize and acknowledge that all the top teams are running spread offenses. A couple months ago, the dummy was talking about how pro style bro is Miami’s brand.

Look at the suckers in here.

Didnt even take a week for them to fall back in love with the King of the Offseason.

"King of the Off-season" lol I love it! I agree completely. This is more pomp and circumstance. If he has spoken to "seven or eight guys" what the **** is taking him so long to make a hire since he knows what he wants? Maybe just maybe they don't want to work for an inept clown who is on the hot seat who fires the coaches he hires after one year?

He said he spoke to seven or eight guys. The conversations could have gone like this:

"Hi, it's Manny Diaz."

"Hahaha"

Click.

We’ve made bad choices. There’s nothing cheap about scratching out a $4M check to Temple to hire a guy who was there for a week. There’s nothing cheap about paying Penos $1.5M.

We have made repeated bad choices. We pay the going rate and above for the guys we hire. It’s hard to argue that Manure is underpaid.

When the 4 playoff teams first hired their current HCs they probably paid them less than we paid Manure. They just happened to make better choices.

Pretty sure we were getting a cutting edge offense that was so multiple teams wouldn't be able to defend it last time. Then we couldn't beat DII schools

Not defending Manny but it's pretty rare to fire a guy midseason especially when you don't have anybody else on staff who can actually call an offense, which is another joke in and of itself.
Agreed, Diaz handcuffed himself bc there was zero offensive playcalling experience outside enos. That’s why he couldn’t fire him prior to bowl game, bc there’s absolutely no one to call plays . Another example of poor management

I’ll be honest. I don’t want manny to fail and I think he cares way more about the U than richt or golden but I just don’t see it. Maybe he proves me wrong

I’ll never blame him for taking his dream job
I mean I wouldn't say more than Richt. Richt did a ton for us in his time here and walked away from 10mil. I can tell you right now Manny would make us pay that money

@WhatTheHell please bump your thread exposing Enos’s track record as a middling to poor OC prior to ever coaching a down here.

That's a horse **** take from this usual shill dgay72.

Not a single thing in Penos' resume suggested he's capable of producing a top 10 offense. There are years of tangible data showing otherwise.

He had almost a decade of seasons as an OC or HC, almost all of them resulted with horrible offenses.

The only people who liked this hire were blind homers or people who used the metric "SABAN WANTED HIM" as some sort of indicator of future success.

Now, to top it all off, he didn't even hire an OC that fit the style of play he spent 2 months bragging about wanting.

Overall, it was an atrocious hire based on years of evidence that Penos proved he can't engineer top offenses, and it was a further failure as Manure hired a guy running a system which was in direct conflict with the one he claimed he wanted to run.

I don’t disagree about manny but I think richts main motivation was proving Georgia wrong

I agree. This whole "we need to give Manny more resources" bullsh*t is nonsense. He wasted 1.5 million dollars on Enos. He is getting paid over three million dollars per year to lose to FIU and LA Tech. They have poured money into this *** clown. The administration just doesn't identify good coaches. That's the problem not $$$.

Until I see him make changes in defense he is golden 2.0

I have heard this comparison before but doesn't make sense to me. Under Golden we all thought the offense was decent and all we needed was a different approach on defense. Golden never fired his DC.

We currently have a decent defense (#12 in overall) but unproductive offense. We just fired our OC.

Maybe Diaz has his buds on defense, but if this defense was playing under Golden he might actually still be coaching here.

A politician's son speaks...and some of you buy this nonsense hook, line, and sinker.

Yeah! Manny's been PLAYING most of y'all, but not all, Cane fans since he became HC!:ttdg2m10mxvzxan.jpg: Nevertheless, it least he did the right thing and gave Enos the proverbial " pink slip. " Now he can FIRE the rest of the offensive staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because Manny's beloved METRICS indicate No offensive assistant should be in Thee Gables come Spring practice.
