Manny (likely) staying (through the end of season, TBD thereafter)

Time to fire him was after the loss to Virginia. Now 8 games in and coming off back-to-back wins over top 20 teams, of course he's making it through the season. Can't see any of the remaining teams blowing us out, which is the only thing I can imagine would lead to a firing. Still need to evaluate at the end of the year. I don't think there's anything Manny can show in the next 4 games to justify keeping him that overrides what he's shown over the last 3 seasons. He can however use the rest of the season to get himself a decent DC job or G5 head coaching gig (FIU maybe if Butch retires?). Would help with the payout too.

Let me explain something to you:

A university is not going to fire someone "on principle" and pay their buyout, when there is 2 weeks left in the season.

Grow up.
LOL. Zenmaster over here! Yo relax! We are just talking in fan talk anyway. The article already told us hes staying for the rest of the season. We are just giving our opinion. Thanks for the explanation though.

“Even though James hired Diaz, the coach’s future at Miami is not necessarily tied to that of his athletic director. James’ future at Miami is under close evaluation independently. The fact he rushed to hire Diaz in a short 24-hour window after Richt retired wasn’t received well by some of the trustees, who wanted more say.
The struggles of Miami’s overall athletic programs in baseball and basketball are also what James is being evaluated on — not just football. James, though, has not been told he will not be back, as some rumors have suggested. His evaluation remains ongoing.”

ppppppppplease get this clown TF outta Miami

UHealth isn't pay for squat. Not even the right color of money and that would get the BoT in a tizzy. Our CIS sleuths are so far out in front of this Navarro is like a junk yard dog looking for a few scraps.
I would assume even the mere suggestion of that would lead to Frenk's immediate ouster. Plus it would be really shocking for Frenk to divert resources from his area of expertise to something he's a complete novice in.

The headline makes you think they are bringing manny back. I get not firing him during the season, Mario ( who is there #1 candidate) already knows that manny isn’t coming back unless he goes to Charlotte. Biggest take a way from that article is that money won’t be a problem and that James won’t be involved in firing Diaz.

..please also note the variety of media they are using. it's a typical damage control process and trying to get out ahead of the situation when in actuality they are still at the gas station trying to put air in the flat tires not realizing all 4 got **** tires have holes in them.
And Wiggins and Pope are behind them taking celebratory selfies......

Headline is deceptive. All they said is that they weren’t inclined to fire him during the year and will evaluate after the year is done. Money won’t be an issue.
For serious this time? As in money won’t be an issue in bringing in a real coach and AD?

hes not gonna be fired in season unless we just collapse. they're waiting on the buyout money to drop. also U Health will cover some of the football expenses bc they made a huge profit in 2020.
Hmmm… all those know-it-all’s saying I was out of my mind for making such a suggestion. Still.. I don’t think it’s likely to happen. They’ll have other options.

I wish the unnamed source would elaborate on what additional investment in the program means.
