Manny is generally a good defensive coordinator. He just can’t recruit. His defense in 2020 had one NFL caliber player and the 2021 team had none. The results showed it. He was good at Penn State last year and half this board said “wait until they figure his defense out”. They were better this year. As long as someone else is securing the players for him, they’ll be a solid defense. If they’re relying on him to evaluate and recruit, they’re due for a massive talent drop off.
