It's helps that he doesn't play many teams with a pulse on offense. Most of the Big 10 still run archaic offenses.

He's a good DC who gets absolutely bodied by OCs who know how to exploit his scheme.

Carter and Williams are still running.
He gave us the best - and most exciting - defense we’ve had in 15+ years. There isn’t a DC, outside of those fortunate enough to work for NFL factories like Bama and GA, who doesn’t get “bodied” on occasion in today’s game. He’s an excellent DC and that’s where he should stay.

It wasn't 'on occasion'.

If you're interested in a feast or famine defence then I guess Diaz is your guy. Guidry is a much better DC.

He's a great DC and I don't think anyone would disagree. Has no business coaching a P5 program.
He had no business coaching us as his first HC gig. Who knows maybe he'll be a better HC his 2nd time around. Y'all take stuff too far on this board.

He should've stayed right at Temple to take his lumps and bruises there. Blake James made a lazy hire.

He’s a solid DC in a good spot. The Big 10 is perfect bc outside of Michigan and OSU there are no good offenses or QB’s that PSU can’t physically dominate and out talent. But those numbers will still take a dive when he gets his own guys in there. He can’t evaluate talent to save his life.
