Anyone who is celebrating this probably jerked off when Corley got hired. We just hired a very bad coach folks, and his system is NOT the old Miami 4-3. It's a zone blitz mess that is hard for kids to learn.

i love the hire. lets remember at texas that was mack browns d. period. diaz didn't get a real shot there either. his d at miss state got better year in year out and he didn't exactly have a bunch of 5 stars at miss st.

diaz is a great d coordinator who is respected throught college circles. i love this hire. i actually thought there was a good shot he would be dc hire.

Tryin to figure this out. We weren't aggressive and had a defense that was too complicated under Onofrio.

We get an aggressive minded DC who according to Alex Jeffcoat "Made the defense so simple it was just football" and people hate it.

We not taking into consideration the players we have and bringing in, looking at his entire resume or we're nitpicking because we are afraid of disappointment.

Am I right?

Hired the perfect guy . He wasn't ready to be our HC but a DC - **** yeah . He attacks non stop on D and that is what we need.

I want a super aggressive 4-3 with tons a of blitzes to pair with a Dline thats coach by the best in the biz.

Thats what Miami football is... not a bunch of whining pu$$ies.
 
Really don't know how any of the message board warriors asking for a "attacking 4-3, deigned to let savages eat" can be opposed to Diaz.

He fits that description as a DC perfectly.

I believe this is probably fairly accurate. At a minimum, the D will be better and aggressive.

No he doesn't b/c you dont understand his system. At all. His defense is ATROCIOUS. This is an absolute FAILURE.

When LSU is rocking a top 10 defense next year and we aren't even top 30, let's so who is right then.
 
Terrible hire.

If it wasn't for Manny Diaz we might be playing in the Orange bowl stadium still

His corrupt *** is responsible for cutting a deal with the Marlins to get us out

I hope his plane crashes on his way over. Horrible hire
