"It’s just at-bats and persistence will turn him into a better player."
Sounds like an Al Golden metaphor. ****.
NONSENSE...Being from NJ Golden would have him playing in his freshmen year in front of Perryman...

I actually agree with D_G87, we aren't fine, but Diaz's comments are a great sign at least in terms of our coaches being honest, transparent to motivate, and to establish a bar of expectation that needs to be held.
Many of our fans have been in psychological captivity the last 5 years or so, and are unfortunately accustomed to lies and being told exactly what we want to hear.
Diaz's comments prove that no one will touch the field who isn't prepared to be nasty and go hard.
He isn't settling folks, which is what this program has done and become accustomed to the last 15 years or so. And for this reason alone, Canes fans should be appreciative and relieved. Sincerity is back and dudes have to used to living without their kool-aid fix. Its fantasy, its time to accept reality and just roll canes style. I'm pumped.
golden was all about the process, this is a coach saying that as a kid plays more at lb a kid by the way used as a rush lb under golden now playing wlb in a 4-3 he will get better."It’s just at-bats and persistence will turn him into a better player."

Back 7 lack talent? Quarterman, Jenkins, mccloud(grace*)Pinckney, Carter, corn elder, Colbert, are very talented only the 3 linebackers lack experience. Experience is overrated in the case considering everybody has had the same amount of time to learn Diaz's defense tbh. If your young guys are at or above the level of play of the veterans then you should always go with with the younger guys because they have a higher ceiling. With that being said we have 3 warmup games before the season start. Get them as much experience as they can and let them ballWe're in trouble. Our back 7 lack talent, depth, and experience. Will give up many yards and points especially without Grace
I agree. Seems like not everyone is buying in. I feel like we say it every year, but it looks like it might take 3-4 years. We need an influx of kids who refuse to lose.Whole program is undergoing a massive culture change. There's going to be growing pains
If we're lucky.
"...golden was all about the process..."
You know what is a striking difference? How much less Richt and staff use the word "process". It seemed to me Golden and staff couldnt form a sentence without using it.
It's become one of those over used "buzz words/phrases" that more often than not, who ever is using it has no idea what they are talking about.
Instead of "follow the process", Richt says, we need to score, or we need to get better in this area...etc...
Instead of "our players are going through a process and learning to buy-in"...Diaz says. when we hunt, we will hunt in packs...
The differences between the previous to current staffs is striking from top to bottom...
Go Canes.
