Manny deservers some praise

May man, Manny has done EVERYTHING he was supposed to do as a year two coach. The fact that he's dominant in the transfer game shows that he was very aware that the ONLY way to recruit well is to win games and the only way to wins games is to draw the talent... It's like a vicious cycle that has no end. However the transfer portal shines light.

Honestly it's very surprising that other teams haven't been able to compete where Manny has.

It kind of reminds me of the thing in basketball where you go find talent that you already know will only be there for limited time, yet that talent is game ready on day one

I think others are succeeding in the portal too. Miss. State beating LSU behind 600 yards from KJ Costello is an example of a grad transfer that'll make a big difference this year. As transfers become more and more common, I think we'll see portal guys making an impact all over the place. But, you're right that Manny has been the best in this aspect. He's winning with grad transfers and he's winning with the underclassmen transfers. Our best players on offense and defense are transfers, which is crazy. Manny should get the credit for sure, but I also think Miami sells itself as a transfer destination. If you're a kid who has already played a couple years and had a chance to enjoy the college experience, why wouldn't you want to spend your last year or two in Miami? You still get the competitive football, big time conference, and NFL opportunities. But you also get to be in freaking Miami instead of Athens, or Stillwater, or Madison, or wherever the **** else. (Though I know our current crop of stud transfers came from LA and Houston, not exactly college towns.)

I want to see a similar game to FSU 1999. Be competitive, win or lose. Just go in there and show the world you belong. I'd obviously prefer a 2000 style game where we win, but at this point I just want to see sustained improvement. If we are up for Clemson and play them tight, I'll be on the Manny bandwagon. Even though it's Lashlee and his energy that have brought the team to life, you have to give Manny credit for hiring him. Also to UM for paying him to come here.

I will say this. The bye week doesn't concern me with Lashlee here. Of anyone can get an O ready, it's our guy.
Clemson is a terrible matchup for our Defense. Lashlee is the least of my concerns for this game. Let’s hope COVID has slowed Clemson down a bit and we capitalize on their mistakes but it’s doubtful.

Congrats on the Lashlee hire sure. Although he said after he was hired he wanted to run spread then hired Penos. Our run defense is **** poor. It will be a problem against anyone with a heartbeat. Clemson will gash this D we need to be able to move the ball & put points on the board.

I'm predicting in 3 wks there won't be any dyck sucking mopes & clout chasin groupies left on this forum. At that time Manny will finally cut their head off once and for all

I hear where you’re coming from and I don’t disagree that he’s done a great job filling the holes on this team. My only point was that people shouldn’t expect an apology for fans getting mad about FIU and La. Tech until he wins (or stays very competitive) in a big-time game against a big-time opponent — Clemson. Trust me, I’m rooting for him.

Got on Diaz alot cause he made the hires but he got rid of the mistake Enos and got the right hire in Lash. Now next off season he can ax Patke Rumph and Baker and replace them with elite recruiters/coaches then we really cookin.
Man I was waiting on this!! Someone just being real. I posted this and got called a troll and everything else. Thanks!!

Saw Richt's sorry self on ACC TV, sheepishly mumbling some nonsense about our win...
.... he could ignited this program if he had gotten rid of his son and hired an innovative OC.

I’ll know enough about this team after Pitt. If Miami loses a tough one or pulls off the unthinkable and wins against Clemson, that’s the perfect set up for a letdown.

Really can’t believe we won 15 games in a row from 2016-17. Our QB play/development was garbage, our offense was garbage. Diaz and that defense was amazing.

Got to keep it up and play well against Clemson

we’ve beat 3 teams we should have so far

Offense has this whole team playing with confidence

More so then the Clemson game, I wanna see how the Pitt game goes. Either you’re gonna have a team high as a kite off a win in a letdown spot or you’re gonna have a team low as can be maybe mailing it in. Either way the ACC ****ed us by giving us a hard *** team like Pitt after Clemson. It’s a brutal spot.

Wonder how Manny feels about Lashlee getting all the credit and hype. For every one time Manny was mentioned on ABC last night, Lashlee got 10 shoutouts.
It’s the same way Dabo gets no credit for Clemson’s defense. Everyone knows that’s Venables.

All the props in the world for understanding the importance of kicking your rival when they are down. 1 thing we can definitely say is we dont have a pussified head coach, and that reflects on the team. He has some incredible qualities. I really want him to still make a couple of upgrades on the staff, regardless of how well we do this year. Need to always be improving, and we have some obvious spots that we can do so. He Gets an A+ for last night.

Good point! Win or lose Clemson, really want to see how we handle that. But for now, im zoomed in on Clemson. That could be a program changing victory.

When you’re winning, everything is great. And you ignore all the issues/flaws (all teams have them). But I stand by this- Baker, Rumph and Patke all need to go.
Uh, the defense only gave up one touchdown last night, created three turnovers and created **** on earth for the FSU QBs. Yeah, the jury's still out but It's far too soon to panic.

Never have questioned whether Manny was the right man for the job. Both offseasons he has been amazing and is killing it in recruiting and says all the right things. He just has a learning curve like Dabo did and will win some huge games and have some odd loses here and there but in 3-5 years Miami will be a top 5 team year in and year out. Gotta lol at the people who say " lets wait til clemson " lol. We have no business staying within 2 TD of clemson right now . I suspect we might though and lose something like 32-27 . But zero chance we could beat clemson twice so I will take the loss now to beat them in december . Think that will be our only loss of the season and King will be a heisman top 4 guy.
