I'm old enough to remember when Golden backed doored his way into the ACC championship game in 2012 at 7-5 (there was 3 way tie in the Coastal between GT, UNC, and Miami) and then we took a self-inflicted bowl ban and didn't go.

Nobody gave Golden credit for that, and nobody should give Manny credit for this. Tie breakers are ridiculous

Mario back door to a pac-12 championship and he stilll gets credit here as one of his accomplishments. Along with beating Ohio state, another pax 12 title and now beating ND in his 12 years of being a HC

This has been explained many times as to why Duke played NC ST. It was a fill in game and both agreed to it and the conference allowed it as a non conference game so both teams could fill their schedule. All ACC teams play 8 conference games and that one had no influence on the rankings.
