Manny 1 Mario 0

I'm old enough to remember when Golden backed doored his way into the ACC championship game in 2012 at 7-5 (there was 3 way tie in the Coastal between GT, UNC, and Miami) and then we took a self-inflicted bowl ban and didn't go.

Nobody gave Golden credit for that, and nobody should give Manny credit for this. Tie breakers are ridiculous

all the Mario haters - lets get this straight - he is the only premier name who views Miami as his final destination. Everyone else out there, if they had success at Miami, would lilly pad and hop to an SEC team in a heartbeat. HELP IS NOT ON THE WAY. If Mario cant get it right, the big money people who have gone all in, are not gonna double down on someone else outside the Miami ecosystem. Much of the uber donors invested in UM football hand picked Mario. Mario has opportunities to improve and evolve, (as we ALL do in our chosen professions) and he has shows a willingness to adapt, and make changes to staff, scheme, philosophy. In my business, we do talent reviews every 6 months to identify areas of opportunity for improvement. Yea Mario can be frustrating at times, as his development is ongoing and adjusting to the current CFB landscape. But people need to relax on the Mario hate, cause after him, and the investment in him, dont expect the same buy-in again.

ACC CG appearances. Another very good, but wasted year in a very winnable ACC
I find it comical that the Miami fans that expect more from a team that should have been undefeated in a year where the noles and clumpson were not even in the conversation in the awful ACC, are said to be delusional(in most of the replies thus far). Why? Because the cave goon couldn’t get out of the offenses’ way? Let the OC do his thing?

They are supposed be overjoyed that Mario won 10 games back to back for the first time since 2003. Talent like Miami has had the past couple of years (generational talent QB last year, 2 DE that are projected to be the highest in the draft this year) doesn’t come around every year. Of course if it does, I’m sure Mario will find other creative ways to waste it as well.

Most of the sunshine pumpers are blaming the ACC and their rules and tiebreakers, when in reality if Mario just gets out of the **** way after losing to Loserville we aren’t even having these conversations.

10 win seasons are better than 7-5, but those seasons won’t get you to the ACC ship. We found that out last year. Most knew that coming in to this year. Now we have experienced it 2 years. Enjoy those 10 win seasons, but it won’t be good enough to be where Miami and its fans want to be.

Bring on the negs.
