Manny’s first real test as HC..,

I didn't twist anything your the one sayin g there's a possibility of the locker room being split.every hc has had to deal this every time starters are picked not just first time hcs.let the man do his job quit expecting him to do a perfect job .I feel you don't or won't understand this.working people make mistakes those who don't work can't make any.
You’re too dumb for me to continue with. Have fun trying to make toys out of your boogers.

They quit. It’s ok to admit it. They stopped trying to beat blocks and started turning down contact.
Are you for real if the defense had quit Wisconsin would be scored more than what they did.those offensive stats are bad .when ou lost to USC for the championship by 55 points their offensive stat are lot better than ours.your just fishing or really don't know anything about playing sports.

I'm dumb sure i am but unlike you i m smart enough to blow my nose in a tissue and throw it away.up till now I never you could do that with booger.you must be an expert at picking your nose and doing that bet you wear high water pants.that's pant legs seamed at the ankles in case you didn't but of course you knew because you are Urkels kissing cousin.your favorite line is -" did I do that".

They absolutely did. It’s something I’ve pondered in the past.

Although I totally disagree with them quitting, at that place and time I understood why it happened. Although I didn’t agree with it.

It was his last game, he was gone. Probably the linebackers knew that they were gone. And the entire defense was disheartened from the lack of the offense even being able to put them in the game. No excuse but you can see how it happened.

It was still quitting though, and the question I have is, I wonder if he has addressed it with those guys that are really close to him, i.e., the guys on defense.

And if he addressed it, I wonder how he addressed it.

I’m not talking about how he addressed it at the end of that game. Everybody just went their separate ways then.

I wonder if he’s addressed it now. He needs to because it was unacceptable.

Did he light into them when he came back? Did he have a heart to heart with them? Let them know that it wasn’t acceptable then, and it won’t be acceptable now? I wonder.
I mean his whole message has been that last year wasn't acceptable. So i take that as everything that went on.

As far as that bowl game it was a shît storm. Richt was contemplating retiring and only used half of the allotted practices. Diaz had took the temple job. Defense out there in the cold trying to keep the team in the game and the offense was even worse than normal.

Fair enough. But if the guys who don’t start the Florida game “mope around” we got issues that go beyond Diaz. With an OLine having only a handful of starts among them, any backup is truly only a play away from getting in the game and they should be prepared for that. I’ll trust Manny and Enos to have these guys right, way beyond Richt and his son.

Very good point. Young guys need to maintain a "One play away" mentality at multiple positions especially OL like you mentioned as well as LB, RB and the defensive backfield.

This is not my fight, considering that this back and forth is between you and @The Franchise, but your above post may be the worst display of trash talk that I've ever seen. WTF was that? It reminded me of the debate scene from the movie, "The Campaign" when Zach Galifianakis told Will Ferrell that his "balloon is getting ready to pop, and that balloon is filled with your own butt toots."

When your offense has five turnovers and 8 of 11 drives go for 4 plays or less, by the end of the game I would classify it more as surviving.

But I get your point.

That’s exactly why it’s Diaz’s first big test. I’ve been hearing forever about how the players should know better on their own. But they never do. That’s why the need a strong capable HC to set the tone and get them to buy in even if they feel they should be the starting QB.

Not sure why so many are struggling with the concept that this could devolve into something bad for the locker room if Diaz doesn’t handle it properly. You’ve got 3 four star guys with big egos who all think they should be the starting QB and one football. This ain’t RB where guys rotate. You also have teammates who probably prefer the guy they think is best irrespective of what the coaches decide.

This isn’t just about the Ufayg game or guys transferring. Diaz will need to be on top of this all the way through.

I actually feel badly for this guy. He’s clearly suffering some profound cognitive deficits. I might even let him pick out a pair of his favorite beige Velcro sneakers from Publix on me as a peace offering.

All just in fun my friend he said something I responded without thinking .

Definitely agree with franchise on the assistant coach comments but all we can do is let it play out.

Im always curious to see what guys look like in year 3.

He has definitely handled the PR and social media aspect better than any coach we have had so far. As a first time HC I’m curious about his in game coaching ability and how he has the team battle adversity.

2018 FSU level adversity. Down 27-7 in the third quarter and find a way to come back and win the game.

Is he taking timeouts at the right time? Is he wasting challenges? Those type of things as well.
this reminded me that at the end of the FSU game it was Manny that's told Richt to kill the clock rather than score a TD and Homer fell at the two rather than score. Manny knew that a TD and a two point conversion could tie the game. That's eeeing the game a few plays ahead which is what an elite HC does.
