He has rebuilt Ole Miss in just 2 seasons. He did a great job at FAU, considering the lack of resources and slim pickings for recruiting.

He also did well at USC until hit with huge scholarship losses.

Also, guess what, Mario left us high and dry once before, after being here only a few weeks.

Stop the madness. Lane went 8-5, 10-2 , 7-6 at USC. With a reduction of scholarships, Sarkisian went 9-4 THE FOLLOWING YEAR after Lane was fired.With his players!! Look it up genius. Do you know what that means!??Lane is overrated

Lol. Ok🙄 …you got me. Lane Kiffin is a **** coach and Mario is the “coach this progrum needs right now “. (YAWN) ..as I’m literally listening to Skip Bayless gush about Lane Kiffin and how he would be a great fit for “his Sooners” as I type this. (YAWN)

CBS 247 sports podcast will say that it’s a good hire, he can recruit, and stabilize the organization but can fix his offense.

They brought him up a couple times in their past episodes and that’s the question they have, which is also the question most of us have as well.

Let Oklahoma have Lane.They will score a ton of points and play soft defense. In other words they will still be Oklahoma!!!Give me Mark Stoops with a blank check for his OC and we will be back
 
I wouldn’t mind Stoops…i mean…if Lane was already off the board? But Kiffin is as close to a “sure thing” as we can get right now. Why can’t we go with the “sure thing “?!?! Why are we trying to *** this up?

If we remove ourselves a little bit from being so close to the situation, what do you guys think the reaction of the sports world will be if Mario leaves Oregon to Miami?

To me it’s going to be a shock and they are gonna wonder how we pulled it off. Good publicity for us in my opinion.

I think either would generate a positive reaction. Speaking to some folks in the coaching/scouting community, Mario would create more waves there because of the recruiting aspect. Coaches hate recruiting against him because of his personal involvement.

It would be very good for us from a national perspective. Mario is viewed as a “desirable “ candidate…and he’s interested in Miami. If we land Lane, though…it sends the same shockwaves (if not more so) than Riley to USC?

I tried posing these questions to friends of mine that are college football fans but not Miami fans

I think we’ve all worked ourselves up so much it’s hard to be objective haha

I never disputed that fact. But facts are facts. I still remember how ****ed off the fan base was when he left right after being hired.

It is. I never like to speak for anyone else, but I think most Canes fans share the same sentiment as I do? I am simply EXHAUSTED with this circle of bullsh1t with Miami. I simply don’t have enough left in me for yet another “rebuild “, for yet another uninspiring coach to come in and “change the culture”?- not when year after year, after year I’m seeing other programs be aggressive and hire the “it” coaches and are winning within 2~3 years…big? I simply TIRE of Saturday mornings, watching cfb shows dck suck all these other teams and know Miami won’t be mentioned at all? (I used to love the national media suck Miami off…when is the last time you’ve seen Corso put on Sabastiin’s head piece?) How many times have I gotten up early, washed my truck and place my flags in the windows (early in the season) and have to stop waving my **** by week 3 because of yet another embarrassing loss to ***king North Carolina or some other piece of **** team? How many times am I going to sit in traffic behind cars with Alabama, Clemson, LSU tags in Florida? How many times am I going to walk into a gas station and see bullsh1t Gator and Nole garb and not see our **** anywhere (I used to complain about it to the clerk….they would all stare at me blankly, smile a toothless, meth addicted smile and say “I ain’t got nuthin ta do widdat “). I can’t take much more of this ****…I used to talk sooo much **** to fans of other teams..*sigh*…I used to REALLY enjoy talking so much ****? I’m sorry, fellas, for this melancholy rant, but with EVERYTHING IN ME, I know Mario will be more of the same. And the worst part of it is…he will be given waaaay more time to “figure it out” and “get his kids in here” than would be healthy for allotment and it will truly be the end, as this cfb landscape keeps changing and evolving. The most exhausting thing about it though? Lane is sitting RIGHT. ***KING. THERE….and we are actually waffling about whether or not to bring him in???? ARE YOU ***KING KIDDING ME???? AND THE GUY WANTS TO BE HERE???? *** ALL of our lives😠
 
Lane Kiffin was just on Colin Cowherd's show talking about what it took him to leave OU -- something he thought he would never do -- and explained how it was the leadership at USC and their clear and concise messaging of how they're going to commit to the football program.

Until we get an AD we're not doing **** in terms of bringing in a high caliber head coach. And even then, if we want to at least look competent and coherent, we'd need at least 2 weeks to come up with a pitch to reel in a high caliber coach.

Once again, absolute phenomenal timing by Miami in waiting so long to fire one of the worst ADs in the country.

They made the BCS Championship after 2004 and was usually in the hunt every year. Stoops won 10+ games **** near every year.
 
Mannys only saving grace is that this year the ACC was another division 2 conference. If Miami keeps manny they lose a lot of the fan base as well as the alum. Don’t go half assed. It’s not like manny will end up in a bread line
