Malik was hurt?

Selling. His shoulder injury didn't affect the offense being able to line up and run the football early in games.

So you're not buying that his shoulder was hurt becasue we couldn't run the ball? Are you retarded?

I was 10 rows up dead center for the UVA and Pitt games. He was not only horribly inaccurate but had no zip on the ball whatsoever. He was floating balls on speed cuts. I'm not a Malik apologist but he was clearly not the same QB after the UNC game.

Was his shoulder injured? Maybe.

Was it the reason we lost to Pitt and got hammered by Clemson? Probably not.

His shoulder was fine for 5-6 GT at home, FSU 6-6, and 4-8 Syracuse at home. Was his shoulder injury the reason the offense was garbage then?

My point was, regardless of injury, we couldn't line up and run the football effectively. That's the reason the offense sucked, not because a 55% completion QB's shoulder was injured.

Again I'm no Malik apologist but it was clear to anyone who watched the team and doesn't hate the kid just to hate him that he wasn't the same after UNC. If he can hit those deep shots that he hit early on in the season, opposing defenses can't load up and the running game is better. Pretty simple football 101.

This wasn't one of his strengths when he was healthy.

Before the UNC game he had one below 50% passing day. That was against FSU and we know he was great late in that game. He was hurt early in the UNC game and finished the year with 4 out of his last 6 passing performances falling under 50%.

Before fsu he played bethune, toledo, and duke.

He completed 60% of his passes against Bethune. 75% against Toledo. 57% of his passes against Duke. 8 TDs and 2 INTs. What's your point?

The point is as the competition rose he got worse. You trying to make it seem like a injury is what caused his play.

He was over 60% against Syracuse when Richards couldn't catch a cold and over 60% against GT. Both better than UNC. He gets hurt in the first quarter against UNC who is awful and the completion percentage gets worse. Malik was hovering around slightly above average as a QB before he got hurt. Should I pretend his dropoff in play had nothing to do with getting hurt and all to do with the likes of Pitt and UVA being on the schedule?

He was struggling vs gt until he started hitting some passes in the 2nd half. His best game was probably vs syracuse. He completed 43% of his passes vs fsu. Was on fire the 1st half vs duke and was *** in the 2nd. Even struggled the 1st half vs toledo. So no it wasn't a injury. Teams started figuring out this dude can't beat us throwing and started playing him that way.

Don't bother having a discussion with Fincane when it comes to Rosier, he'll defend Rosier until death

Just saw an article by Mitchel Forde where Malik was quoted as saying that he could barely lift a football after the UNC game. The chronic shoulder contusion never fully healed and greatly affected his throwing motion and accuracy. Malik said the 3 weeks off has done wonder for his health and he feels a lot better.

Buying or Selling?
He wasn't accurate the entire season.

I'm willing to buy that to a point. But it depends how he looks on Saturday.

I have to admit the last few games seemed particularly bad, even by his standards. And what I mean is, he was never some high percentage passer. He's a streaky guy. But all of his ups went away and it was all downs. Just didn't seem right. Again, even for him.

Yes he was hurt, everyone knew that, but he looked the same after UNC as he did before UNC, so it doesn't matter. He still would make a great throw and then miss 2 easy throws to kill drives. He did against Bethune, Toledo, FSU, etc. the same as he did against Pitt and Clemson. I don't the injury had much of an impact.

His passing completion changed like 6% pre and post UNC. I’m not buying it.

Not that facts have ever meant anything here but pre UNC he was a 59% passer. Including the UNC game and after he was a 49% passer. He only dropped around 5 percent overall because he threw more passes in the first six games.

Injury my a55. Rosier is a terrible qb that happened to be a above average athlete. He is terribly inaccurate and has no business being the qb of this team. I love him regardless because he is a cane but stats tell no lies. If kosi or JW don't step to the front soon, we will be lucky to repeat 2017 in 18. Quality backup he is but champ he is not.

I was having a discussion with my complete opposite. I guy who dubbed Perry a starter the moment Kaaya left and would not hear of another QB winning the job. He fought the good fight as long as he could. Now he's back for another offseason.

He obviously was hurt. And it obviously did hurt his performance.

Problem is, he was already a limited QB to begin with. The injury just made him worse.

We went about as far as we could with the guy, and I'm hoping he balls out in the Orange Bowl, but Malik is not the guy to get you to the next level. Outside of maybe the ND game, he was the worse QB on the field in every game we played this season.

Rosier is ***. Led the conference in picks and had one of the worst completion percentages.

He was also tied for the conference lead in TD passes and I believe he finished in the top 2 or 3 in total TDs accounted for. But none of that makes what I said about you untrue.
