Malik Rosier had a great game today

He has a decent game. Unfortunately the D decided to start giving up points in bunches so we didn't see Perry much.

Because folks are tired of people like you who make excuses..

JT had to throttle down on the TD throw
Mallory was open for 8 seconds instead he throws it late and behind Mallory

Hit cager on the inside and the pass was designed to go to his outside shoulder..

I'll admit I don't like #12 so that means my opinion is biased, but you watched the same guy I saw and for you to act like this would have worked against a solid P5 team than we will disagree for the rest of the time we are on this board.

Hey I'm gonna go enjoy my weekend. You guys can pump sunshine up #12's *** when we all saw a nervous qb with zero pocket awareness who fails to go through any progressions.
The opening sentence of your 2nd parah leavss no credit to your argument..you don’t like his man bun..we get it

MR needs to scheme ways to get Jeff 10 touches a game on O..better yet 10 targets..he’s the number 1 guy now and will break 1k this season

Oh no people are drinking the kool aid again. . Just like clockwork from last year he has his good game against Toledo and will crap the bed like he did against every p5 team

His "jump ball" to Cager is exactly who he is. An inaccurate, low football IQ liability surrounded by superior talent. The only place you can't throw that ball is low & inside. If that's LSU, it's a 100 yd return

He was very solid for most of the day I’ll give credit where it’s due. I liked How he maintained the offense especially in the second half with some big time throws when we needed it the most with our defensive struggles in the 3rd quarter. He responded every time when the defense was getting shredded in that quarter.Hopefully this gives him some confidence

He deserves credit for how he played, he had some really nice throws today & he ran the ball great.

Let's all just hope he keeps it up once we start the bulk of our ACC schedule.

When Malik deserves criticism he'll get it in spades, today he's earned nothing but respect. Regardless of its Toledo or not. He played great give him his credit.
Stop lowering the Standard! He Did Not play great! Ok at best! Acceptable? Yes

I don’t think Rosier can take us any farther than acc championship and I have my doubts that we will get that far. So why not put the young guys in let them gain experience and see if one of them is the future.
Also put in some of the young OL I’d rather have a guy with talent but screws up on a play here and there than a guy who knows the plays but can’t beat the guy in front of him.

no one is drinking kool aid. this is one team that he didnt struggle against last year and didnt today. hes never gonna be what we want from a QB as a passer, but its unfortunate the D took a **** in the third bc it wouldve been nice to get perry in

you play the guys that get you wins. i do think rosier ceiling is ACCCG, as well, but id rather have 10 wins vs 6-8 bc perry isnt ready. i hope we can get perry in the entire second half against FIU to get a better look at him esp against a D1 team.

We played Toledo and he completed 57% (actually 56.5%) of his passes.

57% isn't good. It is really bad. Completing 65% of your passes is good. That is a top 25 QB (in completion percentage). When he actually played a team with a pulse, like LSU, he completed less than 50%.

Let's stop making a big deal over things that are NOT an accomplishment (due to the opponent) and aren't good (the completion percentage).

------------------------------

Please note the following:

1. In 2017, Toledo finished with 60th in Scoring Defense (27.2 PPG) and 64th Total Defense (401.2 YPG).

2. In 2017, Rosier completed 54% of his passes.

3. In 2017, if you completed 57% of your passes, you would be ranked 92nd in completion percentage.

ACC coastal is Miami’s ceiling this season unless the OL finds a way to block against Clemson DL

We were 7 ahead mid-third against Toledo. I'll be a lil more concerned about Clemson should we somehow get to that game. But as I've said since July,...that's the ceiling w/Rosier unless we suddenly have some new dynamic running threat. OLmen can only do so much if you can't pass.

His LSU game is all you need to know about him. Rosier is a scrub qb when it matters.

He has a decent game. Unfortunately the D decided to start giving up points in bunches so we didn't see Perry much.

In addition, the offense put up 21 at the half against a team with a pretty cruddy defense (based on last year). Our "exceptional" QB completed 50% of his passes in the first half.
