Malik Rosier had a great game today

He completed 13 passes and I contend that at least six of them required exceptional efforts from our receivers.

He had a good game, and I very much appreciate it. And I do like his toughness and his willingness to lower a shoulder to get a TD or block downfield. But I worry that, like last season, wins and rushing TDs can blur perception and his inferior play will - yet again - inevitably catch up to us when we're not playing against inferior competition.

What I glean From this, great running game, no sacks and malik although he missed a few throws he made some pivotal ones too.

When the game was getting tight in the 3rd quarter malik made 4 3rd down conversions throwing 2 times to Cager which on one of them he read his progressions and threw across to the other side of the field to Cager where he could get it(great throw and nice to see). Had another good ball to cager for a conversion. Great ball to Jeff Thomas on a 3rd down conversion and he also hit darrell langham on 3rd and 7 near the goal line for a conversion. Also ran the ball well and was run running through some tackles. When he makes plays in the run game he generally seems to play better overall

This whole interaction is hilarious but sad to see at the same time. Come on man lol

He did what he had to do, not only to help us win but to pull away at the end.
We all would like to see him play more consistently and get better. Hopefully he can get into a better rhythm with these home games coming up.

He had a GOOD game... not as a passer, but as an athlete. The real issue is later in ACC play if I am any team with a ******* decent sense of intelligence, I take away the run ASAP, because 54% passer WONT win games with no run game. He is a gimmic in that he can't actually pass very well. I am sure we can get to 5-1 or 6-1 without this being a huge issue but it will come alive late in the season. I promise. It did last year and we lost 4 straight to teams who stopped the run.

I can see your concerns and I share some of them.

We have to hope that he continues to build a chemistry with Jeff Thomas and that other WRs emerge to burn those defenses that will sell out on the run.
It would also be nice for Richards to finally get healthy and help us be even more dangerous on offense.

Let's just take it one game at a time though. I still think many of the Freshmen will become key role players in helping Rosier become more accurate. They just need some time to adjust to the speed of the game and get more reps.

I'll take Kyler Murray over this scrub.

Mallory had a drop yesterday. If he caught that then Malik would've been at 61%. He wasn't perfect yesterday but i'll take that game from him every time considering that he's much worse usually.
