Malik Rosier had a great game today

55% against a G5 team. Break out the heisman banner!!

Actually 57% which is good... Rosier isn’t a one dimensional pocket passer, running is part of his game. 3 TDs on the ground and no turnovers adds to his overall great performance.

I’d take that instead of 65% completion Kaaya with no extra TDs to show for it losing to Cincinnati.

57% is not that good against a poor defense. He did the same thing last year, lots of TDs against bad defenses, completely helpless against good defenses. That's why I think the ACC coastal is his ceiling.

ACC coastal is Miami’s ceiling this season unless the OL finds a way to block against Clemson DL

OK Dory, you have the memory of a goldfish. Rosier did this exact same thing last year. Amazing stats against a non P5 team, helpless against teams with even an average defense. It's almost unbelievable that you are making literally the exact same excuses for Rosier that you did last year. Nothing has changed.
I am not making excuses. It is what it is. When the o-line can protect and get a push in the run game, Malik is serviceable. When they can’t, he’s trash. That’s not a big secret.

Not like Rosier got planted on that play or anything.

Ok.....What about the 1000 horribly , inaccurate passes to wide open guys the last two years?

Dude played a “ clean “ game against an inferior opponent and still was in the 50’s completion. While still missing open guys.

But we’re so pathetic and beat down from this offense / qb we must celebrate.

Sorry I’m not walking around fully erect.

This team does not look nothing like a well coached team in year three, in all three phases.

But I’m just nitpicking , I know.

Not against Toledo. If he did that against an ACC team it would be solid. Please stop with the Rosier is better then Kaaya **** again.

I will say this it’s not about him per se. It’s what the coaches are asking him to do to Maximize his strengths and hide his weaknesses.

I’m one of the Malik critics but we hit some explosive pass plays both last year and this year when he throws deep.

People keep hating on his deep ball or his jump ball. Most of our big plays are exactly those plays. I’d say he’s better at that then throwing over the middle. That’s a strength for him

I’m not going to do anything because I’m not emotionally invested in who the starting QB is like some high school cheerleader. The best player needs to be on the field and if he’s not, that’s on Richt.
Your the one bringing up stats against high school teams not me.you remind me of golden and his stat machine stats mean nothing unless you win.

He is better... lol at not against Toledo. You act like our schedule is lined up with the best of the SEC. who are you scared to see this team play soft *** mfkr?? Gtfoh Malik plays like he did today and we running the table it’s that simple.

Today he displayed the same deficiencies that will prevent us from beating good opponents. Rosier was terrible passing and good running. Against a stout defense they will take away rosier's running, force him to pass, and it will be lights out for us once again. I found nothing encouraging about his performance today.

If we run the table its because the team is stacked besides Rosier. Kaaya got drafted as a Junior. Rosier is going to go undrafted as a 5th year senior. That alone should tell you who the better QB is.

Fair enough, but the OL won't get push against good defenses, so that means a QB has to step up his game if you want to win. Less time means quicker throws, and the throws have to be accurate to give the run game a chance. That's why less than 60% accuracy makes the game with Rosier a fait accompli. We have almost no shot at beating VT in Blacksburg with Rosier. He will get eaten up by Bud Foster's defense. You can blame it on the OL, but at some point a QB has to carry the team for an entire game, not just one quarter where he shows up and tries to lead a late game rally. That won't work against VT.

We will, at best, finish with the same record as last year, getting blown out in the ACC championship game (in the unlikely event that we make it past VT) , and our QB next year will have experience consisting of handing off the ball and kneeling.
