Baller!! This kid look bigger than I thought too. He’s a legit 5’10-5’11 pushing 180. I was expecting him to be about 5’8 150’s. H

A lot of similarities to X.
High work ethic.
Short but thickly built.
Not a burner on the stopwatch, although Toney can sneak by people.
Very physical runner, great at getting YAC.
Sticky hands, makes a lot of difficult catches.
Good route runner.
Multi-talented and savvy.

Most people don't know this, but X also had to play QB for his team... and he lit-up a nationally ranked St. Johns team in Washington DC after Deerfield's starting QB went down.

This was one of the things I thought of that makes me so confident in Malachi. I remember you saying you guys needed him at multiple positions & that X could legit play safety or nickel or something like that.

When Mali did the same thing & dominated that way too I thought about X. Watching Toney high-school highlights was also reminiscent of Bain's as well where the film was better than the ranking.

Mali is just 1 of those guys, in terms of play, where you know  it when you see it.

I agree and I think Malachi will have a similar career to X. 100% alpha.

the only thing X has over baby jesus is experience

Yall remember when he decommited from us and all the let him walk, we only want kids who want to be Canes and the he ain't worth the drama from some people?? Good times.
I was in shambles when he decommited. I was watching his tape and felt great about him as a WR....Then dude swaps to QB and was the best player on the field throughout the playoffs. Couldn't believe my eyes when people were trying to downplay him.

Football player.

Him, Pringle and Nickel flashed today.

Nickel should be in line to be the back-up after what I saw today; he has the ability to play the position at a higher level than the guys not named Carson Beck.
For political reasons I imagine we let Emory believe he'll be the backup until either very late in fall camp or game day vs ND
