win some and lose some in the gene pool. He’s 3-4 inches taller than Dayla and still has time to get a little bit faster

The shiftiness is what he’ll never come close to. And Malachi is still somewhat shifty

Players like X leaves a mark of what a player / team can achieve if they train like there lives depend on every word and movement.

A legacy of passion

what political reasons?

It was obvious to anyone who the back-up QB should be in the fall.
Exactly. If CB is seriously injured, this season is over regardless of who the backup QB is. Emory can’t even complete a forward pass. Luke should have been named the backup QB the second he stepped on campus.

I'm as excited as anyone about his potential, but the slot position in any offense, especially this one, is so nuanced.

But just take a peek at Dawson's last 4 years as an OC and what his slot receivers have done:

2021 Houston -- Tank Dell -- 90 catches for 1329 yards and 12 TDs
2022 Houston -- Tank Dell -- 109 catches for 1389 yards and 17 TDs
2023 Miami -- Xavier Restrepo -- 85 catches for 1092 yards and 6 TDs
2024 Miami -- Xavier Restrepo -- 69 catches for 1127 yards and 11 TDs

Dell did run about 67% of his routes from the slot, so he wasn't exclusively a slot WR, but that's where the ball goes in a Shannon Dawson offense.

It's a lot to put on the shoulders of a kid who wasn't a full-time WR in HS, is a true freshman, and reclassified.
