Make Barkate compete for a stating job

Especially when Mali can handle that role as well or better, and we have better athletes on the outside. I will just put it like this. I think Moore has NFL WR2 upside. Even if Barkate is the reincarnation of a slightly taller Restrepo, I think it is possible to likely that we are sacrificing some explosion potential for timing and familiarity. I would bet whatever you want Vaughn runs a better forty time than Barkate. Same with Moore. It seems most people disagree. Is what it is.

He is in the way? No more than Restrepo was in the way. Huge benefit to have an ELITE WR who already has chemistry with the QB ... they each know one anothers' tendencies. NOW Mensah has Spring practice, then a couple of months 7 on 7 and Fall practice ... to develop similar chemistry with 4-5 others WR's & TE's. Win Win Win. Elite depth depth depth ... for a long season. Open your freaking eyes and mind.
 
When the season is half way through most fans will be kissing this dudes ***, for some reason he has no respect but they will see. Mario aint taking you if you a jag bruh yall know this already and we got fans doubting still. Dude has legit D1 film out but they still dont believe. On top of that its at the WR spot where we are supposedly stacked, he took him to play and start. This is why you go to the portal, for the best available.

Some common sense is good as well, our wr room was done already and people were happy. Yet Mario still took this dude, that tells you everything you need to know of what the staff thinks of this player. He could start on any team in the country.

We lost Restrepo and downgraded at QB and were still better. I guess he is a lock. Death. Taxes. Barkate as WR2. If I were HC, I am not sure it would go down like that.

I agree. Mensah was unplanned. But he's an excellent player.

And "safety blankets" for QBs are great. You want your QB to be have great chemistry with a WR.

If there was ever a year to rotate WRs, this is it. We're crazy deep at the spot. Even if we rotate heavily, I'm guessing we have 2-3 guys leave after the year.
