Why?All the reasons that Barkate WILL start barring injury. My question is should Barkate start, my hypothesis is Barkate should not start.
"no offense"With all due respect, and I mean this respectfully, you're retarded.
Easy now...there is no wisdom in this crowd.Hey, the wisdom of the crowd agrees with you. I just think we are so deep and so dynamic, I think it is a waste to have 1 of 3 coveted slots wasted on a possession guy. Especially when Mali can handle that role as well or better, and we have better athletes on the outside. I realize that Barkate came to start with Mensah, they are roommates and kind of a package deal. I just think this was the crappy part of the Mensah coup. Hope Im wrong and he goes crazy here.
ninja you've been on here for 9 years and you think like this ????? lmao !!!Swear on my life its a genuine thought. It may not be popular at the moment, or conventional wisdom, but it is a considered and truly held thought. Might be incorrect, it would not be the first time I am completely wrong, but that is how I genuinely see the WR situation.
I dont care that Barkate went for over 1k at Duke last year. I worry that he will be the security blanket for Mensah. I think Vaughn, Moore and Jacobs are all better and more dynamic. Ideally, my WR starters are Mali, Vaughn, Moore as starters and Jacobs in 4 wide sets. I will never hope for an injury to any player, especially a Cane, but I think it would be better for the team if Barkate gets real comfy on the bench.
I will just put it like this. I think Moore has NFL WR2 upside. Even if Barkate is the reincarnation of a slightly taller Restrepo, I think it is possible to likely that we are sacrificing some explosion potential for timing and familiarity. I would bet whatever you want Vaughn runs a better forty time than Barkate. Same with Moore. It seems most people disagree. Is what it is.ninja you've been on here for 9 years and you think like this ????? lmao !!!
This is worse than the guy slurping over JoJoI dont care that Barkate went for over 1k at Duke last year. I worry that he will be the security blanket for Mensah. He is in the way? No more than Restrepo was in the way. Huge benefit to have an ELITE WR who already has chemistry with the QB ... they each know one anothers' tendencies. NOW Mensah has Spring practice, then a couple of months 7 on 7 and Fall practice ... to develop similar chemistry with 4-5 others WR's & TE's. Win Win Win. Elite depth depth depth ... for a long season. Open your freaking eyes and mind.Except I think we have better and he is in the way.

We lost Restrepo and downgraded at QB and were still better. I guess he is a lock. Death. Taxes. Barkate as WR2. If I were HC, I am not sure it would go down like that.He is in the way? Then why get him from the portal? And, waste nil money?....think it through next time!!I dont care that Barkate went for over 1k at Duke last year. Proven production is proven production!I might be all the way on the short bus here and in need of a helmet to porst. That said, how convinced are you that Barkate is better than Moore
I'm not even sure there is a senior in the room? Barkate?I agree. Mensah was unplanned. But he's an excellent player.
And "safety blankets" for QBs are great. You want your QB to be have great chemistry with a WR.
If there was ever a year to rotate WRs, this is it. We're crazy deep at the spot. Even if we rotate heavily, I'm guessing we have 2-3 guys leave after the year.
Because he is the plus 1 Mensah brought. We also brought his sister. It was a massive deal. But I think those snaps should be up for a fair competition. Is what it is.Then why get him from the portal? And, waste nil money?....think it through next time!!
