If the HC has to learn from his OC, why are we hiring him?
I don’t get this, you really don’t think some Head Coach hasn’t learned something new under his coordinators before? Like really?

Welp
so now it’s Golden’s fault that Coleys offense was ranked worse than Applewhites ? Ok lol1. First off lets get this straight, I don't want Coley or Major Applewhite. I just would prefer Coley over Applewhite.
- Golden had Coley go conservative when we took leads. That affects the offensive production. It also wasn't worse than Applewhite's which I ignored the last time you said it because APPLEWHITE WASNT RUNNING THE OFFENSE. At one point during the Golden regime, GOLDEN SAID IN HIS PRESS CONFERENCE THAT THE OFFENSE WAS SCORING TOO FAST, THE DEFENSE DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO REST AND THATS WHY THEY WERE PLAYING SO BADLY.
- He didn't even make the decision to hire Onofrio, he consulted Todd Orlando about it because he couldn't make a good decision his **** self. Art Briles was a well known elite defensive coach who had just turned FAU's offense elite the year prior. While he literally hired someone coaching YMCA for defense. I don't see how we're just going to ignore that.
- What does Richt have to do with any of this?
- The fact that you forgot Chad Thomas, Kevin Olsen and Brad Kaaya is funny to me. But go on about how he didn't recruit here.
- Yes, he coached THEM 20 years ago, who has Applewhite coached?

So you assume Major didn’t learn anything but if he did then it becomes well why did he need to learn from his OC right? It’s a lose lose type of thing with you cuz somehow you look at it as a negative if he picked up some tricks from a guy he worked with.Nick Saban, a defensive coach, learned and took advice from Lane Kiffin.
That's different than saying "surely he's learned from Kiffin" as a hope that he'll be successful here.

Look man if your going complain bout the OC hire at least have someone in mind to keep validating your point when you come back with “someone from this team staff etc” instead of actual names then your argument becomes less meaningful.
in 2017 without Briles as OC, Houston's offense was ranked #65
in 2018 WITH Briles as OC, Houston's offense was ranked #7
Briles was a definite factor in such a big difference.
Just because Richt sucked doesn't mean we should settle for 40th best...
