Main Concern

What would worry me is if UF's size is real and its in good shape. It seems to me we are counting on it to be carrying around a lot of cinnabons and mayo mac.

My main concern for this week isn't matchup related. We could kill these boys on any neutral field. The main concern I have right now is this will be the first time Cam Ward has ever had the OC communicating directly into his ear instead of using signs. So for the first time he has to listen and communicate at the same time in the Swamp. GT's QB was having trouble at a neutral field in Ireland. The Swamp will be a whole different beast and I hope our coaching staff has backup plans with signals to keep things moving if he can't hear.

STILL NOT ENOUGH FOR ME TO DOUBT THE OUTCOME. Canes roll

It was the terrible wireless in Ireland...

...is probably the next excuse the SemenHoles will use...

We get it. Half our fan base is scared of the swamp. It’s gonna get awful quiet when Mertz starts getting thrown around like the school who are and Martinez punishes all of their holes

DJU was fine. It looked like King was having trouble hearing through the earpiece. If it really was a 90/10 crowd split, that would make sense why King had issues while DJU didn't.

The Swamp will be hostile and loud, so Dawson better have some backup plans.

Fans are not scared of the Swamp. The concern is how our players will react playing in front of an incredibly hostile and loud environment.

How will Cam respond to the environment? Spare me the Oregon and UDub comparisons. I’ve been to both Autzen Stadium and Husky Stadium. It’s not the same. There’s a history of good QBs not playing well at Billy Bob Joe Griffin Stadium. Joe Burrow didn't play well his first time visiting the Swamp. Neither did Spencer Rattler, Joe Milton, etc. Plenty of QBs who get drafted have laid eggs first time playing in that environment. Cameron Rising during the opener 2 years ago was just average.

The environment and atmosphere clearly favors the Gators. That’s my primary concern. We are the better team on paper and hold the clear advantage in the trenches. We should win this game by more than a TD.

Just. Get. It. Done. Win!

I keep telling myself Canes 60-something, UF single digits because truth be told, I'm fugkcin terrified of a loss. A loss would mean that essentially all my football hopes and dreams for this year are shattered before October ends AGAIN. I don't want that. I've spent enough time and sad energy looking for things to do on Saturdays past in October and November because the Canes have been eliminated from anything significant in the postseason by that point.

Yeah I get it's only one game. It's not the end of the world, etc, etc. However if we lose to those sister-bangin, mommy tongue-kissers, it will kill any confidence I've grown as Hurricane PTSD will set in and the impending doom of future defeats will become palpable.
Well go to church together, brother.

Let’s us pray

Pray I Hope GIF

Appreciate the perspective about Autzen, Husky, and the swamp man!

Gators own a higher blue chip ratio than Miami. Napier's recruited well since 2022.
Along the lines its where it matters IMO I know they snagged LJ which was huge for them but thats one dude. I am not going to sit here and act like I know their roster, we about to find out if Billy's evals are on point in week 1.

@skyman I guess we will just have to simplify this and go wide splits count the numbers box play fast in space with simple audibles for Cam

Wonder if the RB coach bought any of those ideas to the table..

Gators actually handled that well when they played tenn last year at home.. but tenn QB missed A LOT of plays..
