Main Concern

Don't need headsets to work in order to do what we are going to do to them.

That we won’t be able to move those two big DTs as much as Mario wants and he doesn’t abandon the run and let UF prove they can stop our pass. Use the pass to setup the run if it comes to that. Mario is having wet dreams at the thought of what Damian Martinez can do and it might not play out intially as scripted.

On D, that they dink and dunk us to death and our guys get frustrated and undisciplined and make mistakes that give Mertz confidence. We can’t let Mertz think he can win this game. We have to let him know out the gate that it’s going to be a long day for him.

Thought I heard mention they didn't use it since it wasn't approved for use during the playoffs so why bother using it now. I could be wrong tho. Can't imagine they think they'd have a chance at the playoffs either lol
FCS playoffs which they lost in the 2nd round last year

My main concern for this week isn't matchup related. We could kill these boys on any neutral field. The main concern I have right now is this will be the first time Cam Ward has ever had the OC communicating directly into his ear instead of using signs. So for the first time he has to listen and communicate at the same time in the Swamp. GT's QB was having trouble at a neutral field in Ireland. The Swamp will be a whole different beast and I hope our coaching staff has backup plans with signals to keep things moving if he can't hear.

STILL NOT ENOUGH FOR ME TO DOUBT THE OUTCOME. Canes roll
They’ve been practicing it since the Spring and Mario, Dawson and Guidry have all said they are not relying on it solely if there are issues and if he somehow doesn’t like it I’m sure he will speak up to not do it if he doesn’t want it.

A team is always better than whatever cis thinks lol
Our teams always make them look better than they are. Then, the very next week, the team we swear was better than we thought gets a muddle stomped in their rear ends by an unranked team.

Because usually our team isn’t as good as cis says either…And also different matchups get different outcomes

They looked really good against Tennessee. I believe this is what they will try to do to us. If they can’t establish a run game, they’ll just dink and dunk it for 3-6 at a time and hoping somebody breaks along run to sustain a drive. The ball is out of Mertz’s hands before 3 seconds most of the time.
They ran a ton of plays in the first half like this and wore down that defense.
Tennessee also turned the ball over and had two penalties on the same play which basically put UF at the red zone and they went up big before the half.
Tennessee adjusted in the second half and held them for 3 points but couldn’t make up the deficit. The gates just pinned their ears back and went after them.

Tennessee couldn’t establish good run game and had to play from behind. It was 26-7 at the half and they made a ton of drive killing penalties as well as defensive 15 yarders.
I believe this is the only way their offense is gonna be able to sustain a drive against us. A lot of motion, trying to get their playmakers in space while trying to sneak a run up the middle.

Ettiene and Montrel were huge for them in this game. They will be missed.

Huepel’s oline was dog water! Couldn’t establish anything to give the qb time to stretch the field and looked nothing like they did in other games.

Here’s the whole game

Concerns, in no particular order:

1. Tackling Tre Wilson in space, along with their other receivers
2. Coaching/being unprepared for the noise and atmosphere
3. Sluggish offensive play due to all the new faces
4. Coverage busts due to the new faces in the secondary resulting in easy/huge gains
5. Sloppy turnovers

That's probably about it. I am VERY confident our lines will hold up well. I am VERY confident Cam will play at least pretty well. I am VERY confident our receivers will get open against their DBs. I am VERY confident our front 7 will hold their own.

If we tackle reasonably well on the edges when they throw short (and this includes getting off blocks), if we don't have a ton of false starts or balls snapped early etc due to the noise, if we don't have significant confusion on offense, if we don't leave someone completely wide open and if we win or at least even in turnover margin, I think we win the game by 7+ points.
