He brings something the other 2 don't. The move he put on that guy on the TD run is something Fletcher and Brown just can't do. We can't keep running the same schemes with him as we do with them. And 90% chance I'm looking too far into this, but that look on this face after he scored running back to the sideline wasn't one of joy or celebration. We can't lose him for next season, and at this point I can't say I would blame him if he did bounce. Go ahead and put Scott and Trader in the same boat too.

Just stating the obvious and as boring as the offense has been recently I think if we had a legit threat to run at the qb position the offense with our line becomes exponentially better. Which obviously will then open up the passing. But these teams know even if Beck Keeps it and takes off he isn’t outrunning anyone.

If you can’t make it work with Jordan Lyle then the staff has to look in the mirror and ask yourself why? This is very frustrating.
Them switching out RBs is frustrating. Pick one and let the kid work. RBs develop there vision, timing and confidence through play. Switching em out won’t allow them to develop.

It’s like they’re worried about keeping them happy. Mcgahee had to sit behind Portis, Gore had to sit behind Mcgahee… and they all thrived when their time came

Lyle will also lose you yards on short yardage situations. Maybe he’s just not playing enough to develop good habits, but he’s hesitant in situations where he can’t be

Take him out for short yardage then. And I agree about the habit thing. Can't think you can bounce everything outside like you did in HS when there is no hole to run through

Get real dude, you don’t know how he Felt scoring that touchdown and stop pretending like you do. Some guys celebrate differently than others. ****, we won the game and he had a good run. Can we please stop trying to analyze everything, it’s just ******* annoying!

Yep worked 1st 4 games feeding Fletcher
Went back to that yesterday and it worked

Lyle averages 2.6 yards a carry

He'll lose yards because he's not willing or doesn't want to slam into the back of his OL over and over again when he thinks he can pick up more yards another way.

Unfortunately this running game isn't designed well for Jordan Lyle's skillset.

Those days are over.

Different time period, no one is sitting and waiting anymore

On that 4th down, if Fletcher bounced outside he likely scores. Sometimes you must find a hole. If it’s outside then so be it. Sometimes even after you get through the LOS, the easiest way to beat the safety is to bounce outside and beat his angle.

Lyle is a good change of pace back, but you cannot run him like you do Fletcher and that’s the prob
Lmao you mean up the gut for 2.4 yards a pop? No back does well when the other team stacks the box and knows what play you’re running each down. They crash their down D-ends because there’s no threat of an outside run. Yesterday we ran outside enough to keep them honest. And the presnap motions with fake reverses helped a lot with that. Not sure why we ever stop showing those to keep D-ends in contain

Not sure if the problem is Lyle, coaching staph, play calling or blocking......but outside of one run yesterday, he hasn't looked good all season.

Without the 17yd TD run, he's got 20att 51yds 2.5avg 0td

I don’t care who leaves because they feel they need more carries …keep feeding big Mark and sprinkle the others in. I haven’t seen Lyle do **** yet you acting like he Barry sanders or something
