Lyle

Lyle will probably be the first person to admit that this has been a disappointing season so far. Not sure if it’s a nagging injury or something else that held him back, but Lyle has to put the past behind him where it belongs.

Fortunately for Lyle, we have 5 more regular season games for him to get into his groove. Let’s see what Lyle brings next week moving forward. Lyle’s TD run was a flash of what could be a great addition to our run game. No CFP contender can advance very far without at least two good RBs. If Lyle can do that a little more consistently, the Canes will be hard to beat.

Plus, Lyle should be looking over his shoulder at Pringle. Pringle looks like he might be a special player some day

He's not healthy, so I'm not gonna bash him. But the coaches should earn their money and play others who compliment his abilities.

Every **** year, some dumbass fan whines about someone not getting playing time, even when there's a legit reason why. I remember when people wanted Randy Shannon to play Willie Williams because "Measureables" even though every single time dude was on the field, he was a danger to everyone else, because you couldn't trust him to do his job. Remember "We aren't playing Chris Johnson enough" last year? I do. This offense is STILL a top 25 unit nationally, and is coming off a **** good second half yesterday, and people are creaming themselves about ONE RUN. ONE.

Lyle has talent, but it's also obvious that he isn't doing the things he needs to do in order to consistently see the field. Some of that is injury related, but there's a reason that even after the injury, he can't surpass Brown and Fletch. Lyle was the starter Week 1, so it's obvious that the staff thinks highly of him. That said, nothing is given in this program, it has to be EARNED and until he earns those carries, it is what it is.

Lyle is healthy. What we are asking him to do in this run game is not healthy.
hes just not a fit for the way they want to run the ball as youve said.

they shouldnt recruit any backs under 215 at this point because theyre useless if they dont change the run scheme

Lyle will be fine. Don't confuse getting reps in games where our RB's generally are doing nothing (FSU, Louisville) with getting actual opportunities. He's clearly got some potential which hasn't quite shown itself fully. Just needs more reps as the year goes along. But yeah clearly using him to push piles is not exactly using him correctly.

According to Dawson, that doesn't happen in a pro set in shotgun. And you're an idiot if you disagree with him, especially if you can't understand the intricacies of Inside zone, outside zone and duo.

What Dawson said…we don’t play RBs that can bounce outside because their heads are too far up the centers ****.

What I don’t get is the intricacies of some little fat fingered keyboard tough guy calling me names cause you think you know everything. So Dawson has already gave an excuse for the teams next loss.

Bro, I was agreeing with you. And leave my little fat finger out of it.

I just don't need lies or excuses. Lyle and Pringle are not A Gap runners. Run them their just enough so teams don't know they won't run there. Throw JoJo the ball. Hurt or not Lofton is wide open a lot, throw him the ball. Brockermyer isn't bad, he needs some help sometimes. If the DL lines up in a bear front, Beck needs to audible or get rid of the ball quick. Just see what that does.
