After today's lunch I believe in Blake James, and I was very impressed by Korn Ferry. Some observations from the lunch.

1. We are going to try and hire a coach the caliber of Saban and Meyer
2. Butch has the support of the majority of the individuals attending the lunch and big money BOT members.
3. Mario I believe has zero chance.
4. Up and coming coaches and assistants from other schools and the NFL have no chance.
5. New coach does not have to keep anyone from the current staff.
6. There has been tons of interest from big time coaches including some not on the radar.
7. The BOT members such as Stuart Miller who is a great guy is committed to making this program into an elite program and think with the right coach can happen in two to three years.
8. Lots of rumors out there and what has been written etc is complete BS.
9. I am really excited and believe that if we don't hire the likes of a Chip Kelly etc Butch will get the job.
10. I want Butch and lots of people there who contribute a ton of money to the program made it clear that they want Butch.

Blake's efforts and words defending and protecting Al even at the expense of 1st amendment makes it hard to believe any would believe in him, or the believe anyone who does. The rest of what you have said could be true. If I had to make a money bet, it would bet you are Blake writing a self-serving post.

Aside from that, the Golden Canes need to change their name -- Al made that word completely toxic.

Mirabal, lots of cynics on here after almost 15 years in the wilderness. Great to hear your story. Hope it plays out like you think. If we're going to be a playoff team, we need to start acting like a playoff team, beginning with a real HC and coordinators.
