The lunch was at the Alumni Center. Blake James, Korn Ferry Executives, Stuart Miller, Jon Vilma and 20 Golden Canes.

1. We are going to try and hire a coach the caliber of Saban and Meyer
2. Butch has the support of the majority of the individuals attending the lunch and big money BOT members.

4. Up and coming coaches and assistants from other schools and the NFL have no chance.
5. New coach does not have to keep anyone from the current staff.
6. There has been tons of interest from big time coaches including some not on the radar.
7. The BOT members such as Stuart Miller who is a great guy is committed to making this program into an elite program and think with the right coach can happen in two to three years.
8. Lots of rumors out there and what has been written etc is complete BS.
9. I am really excited and believe that if we don't hire the likes of a Chip Kelly etc Butch will get the job.
10. I want Butch and lots of people there who contribute a ton of money to the program made it clear that they want Butch.

Butch Davis back at Miami for 5-7 years will make Saban an afterthought wrapped in an asterisk hidden within an *******.

@AndySlater: Univ. of Miami willing to spend up to $6 mil per year on their next football coach --- that's what @unclelukereal1 just said on my show.

Vilma was there and he is a great guy
I am new to this site because I found out about it on 11/12. I got a call from a friend who called to ask me about an article which was written by GEO 305 who quoted a family member of Coach Mirabal and I got on to read the article. BTW GEO the article was complete BS as the family member of Alex you mention has spoken to Alex in years and Mario would not come back to UM unless he came back as head coach.

Meyer, Patterson, Harbaugh, Chip Kelly that's it. That's tier 1

I was gonna call BS until Mirabal came out and said who was at lunch.
Great observations Mirabal! We should all be excited that we're finally gonna go after a big time coach that will get us back where we belong in no time.
 
i highly doubt that Blake and our admin is capable of what the OP is claiming.

Blake is clueless and is a sitting duck.
