LSU vs Miami

I agree that this game won’t be easy either way. However I need your help with something. LSU is 122nd in the nation in returning starters. So why is that Tigerdroppings is convinced this is a historically good defense. I mean there’s threads about it not only being the best this year but comparing it to the best defenses through history
Man, take off those orange and green specs, and just realize that they out talent us at every position.

EDIT: Better add [/SARCASM] before the butthurt brigade gets here...

On defense you are returning Devin White, Greedy, Battle, Monroe, Delpit, Kary Vincent, now have Fulton back (yes he has only played 3 games but never quit practicing), Phillips is going to be a great linebacker, Chaisson, Lawrence, logan, Fehoko (Transfer from TT), Divinity, Damone Clark is a freshman who has done well in camp and is expected to be a big aspect, Farrel, Livingston, and Logan are going to be good.... If you look at defense we didnt lose some crazy amount of players..We lost lacatoure, Thompson, Key, Jackson, and alexander.

Lawrence, Ferrel, logan, are all just as good as Lacoutre

Chaisson will be in the record books for sacks in a year (Faster and stronger than Key)

Fulton is just as good as Jackson

Thornton, Divinity, and anthony will fill in fine for thompson and alexander.

The spots we lost players on we have guys there that are just as good or better. We have never been this deep on defensive backs with this amount of talent, our linebacker corps is damnn good with some pretty good backfills, and our defensive line is good as long as they stay healthy. I myself dont know if they are going to be 2011 good but they will be close to it and if they are 2011 good that was the best Defense LSU put on the field ever i think.

That isnt looking through purple and gold glasses that is just me saying why people think that, depth at positions to keep players fresh, speed, strength and just talent. Now granted i do believe some of these guys will have growing pains put that is part of it.

You know no one on here's taking you seriously, don't you?

Saying names doesn’t mean anything to an outsider. So every starters from last years back up was better than they were?

This is one of the SEC rags that has LSU as the 6th best defense in the SEC. LSU fans are predicting a historically great defense. Either y’all wear purple glasses harder than any fan base or everybody else is way off. Don’t get me wrong I fully expect LSU to have a really good defense probably the top two or three we play this year. I just don’t see a defense without one starting senior being that elite.

dave aranda is not the best nor arguably the best

that man in michigan who's name escapes me, don something, is the best by a long shot

Just seen a poster on Tigerdroppings say Miami may not even get a first down. The fun part is that every team with a winning record last year scored at least 21 points against LSU. But after losing 9 of 13 of their top tacklers, they will be historically great and the best defense in the nation.

I think The gap between Miami’s defense and LSU’s offense is much larger than the gap between LSU defense and Miami’s offense is considering we have an elite skill group in terms of talent and experienced starters at every position on offense outside of 1 or maybe 2 or the offensive guards(Mahoney playerd in a lot of games and rotated in) and the tight ends position.

LSU keeps forgetting that the aforementioned players were actually recruited by Les Myles. Say what you want about Myles' offenses, but his defenses and their development was great. These guys are being developed by Orgeron. Keep that in mind.

LSU-Miami is going to be a dogfight, I won't believe otherwise until I see anything different. Did you see the players at LSU talking about Miami who????
