LSU Bag Man

Well the fans here will slurp its a new staff so thats the norm. **** sucks when u already know the truth early, I wish I would be more hopeful (because thats more fun)but it is what it is.
Yeah, I'm pulling for Manny and I love a lot of what I have seen. My only concern is this.

We needed to hire a recruiting assassin on each side of the ball. I'm not sure they did that on offense unless Field is that guy and they didn't do anything on defense except Baker and I doubt he is that guy. No excuse having 2 DB coaches, neither of whom is a killer on the trail.

Two DB coaches isn't that uncommon.

The bottom line is that it’s Manny’s choice. He’ll either sink or swim with these coaches, and if they don’t produce then it’s his prerogative to fire or not fire because in end it’s his ***.

Biggest argument I ever had at work was a few years ago when I was coming up and ran a small sales group of 20 people. My boss at first insisted on being at my final interviews (after I selected several for finals) and then afterwards we’d discuss. Most times we agreed, but not always.

At those times, he’d try to tell me who to hire. I basically got fed up and we almost came to blows once, I finally told him I’d walk if I didn’t get the final say. I flat out told him, it’s my ***, if my people don’t perform, I end up paying for it, I end up losing my job. You can fire me for non-performance so I’ll fight you every time when I don’t get to choose the people that are determining my future.

Bottom line, you can’t fall in love with people that work for you because if they don’t perform, it’s either them or you, and it usually ends up being both. So when you get to choose, it’s your responsibility, and if they don’t perform it’s your ***. Unless you do something about it and find someone better. And if Manny is stupid enough to hang on to people that are going to cost him his job then he doesn’t deserve the job

I've been in that work situation. Not the coming to blows part but the rest of it. It's never a good thing when a boss forces your hires and then expects you to ride or die on it.

Exactly. As if it’s their ***. It isn’t.

That motherfūcker was an old school hardass that ruled by fear. By that time I was fūcking done with him, and didn’t care anymore if I got fired. We were literally nose to nose. It was intense. Ended up working out for me, I’d like to say I knew it was all going to work out, but I didn’t. That could’ve gone very differently for me. This guy was abusive to other people and I wasn’t having it. Some shltty people out there that need to be put in their place...just not necessarily the way I did it.

Nothing worse than a boss who does that fear shît and rides the people they rely on to be successful. I had one who did that and worse. Made their own rules and witch hunted people for doing 1/10 of the shît they would do. No consistency in treatment of subordinates, very subjective and arbitrary. Insecure as fûck, hated anyone smarter or better educated. A real miserable, worthless pos.

If I had the $, I’d offer a $1M bounty for the best absolute proof of a school official with knowledge of bags dropped for the National Champ. And I’d do it every year, the week after the championship game.

We get popped for a player getting a used washing machine. No lie. It’s in the official NCAA document, the NOA (Notice of Allegations).

A

Used

Washing

Machine

Of course, we all know how the story ends for LSU. Nothing will come of it.

There are actual players, from Auburn and other schools, that have actually come out on the record and said they were paid. Nothing happened. The NCAA is all one big con job run by a bunch of SEC crackers.

Goes way back. Howard got sanctions for some tee shirts and not changing interest on weekend lunch money or some crap. That was before we were hated. Just being an independent was enough.

I know what you mean. Like the guys that get hardons for expense reports were usually the biggest cheaters when they were in the field. I have known quite a few like that. Or some variation thereof. Also the guys that take credit for other people's work.

Fortunately, I’ve hung around, and long enough, to see some of these clowns get their just desserts. So sweet. Having survived two major M&A’s has given me perspective on different management styles and the opportunity to advance and get some payback.

At least 4-5 things need to happen for things to change IMHO:

1) a Federal agency needs to investigate the NCAA (as well as the $EC and other top schools)

2) evidence needs to be compiled for presentation (a central online repository should be set up where all people with evidence of payments should be able to post their evidence -- both tangible and credible anecdotal evidence)

3) an online petition needs to start with fans, students and coaches of all "non-bag" schools adding their name to the petition online. This could be announced to fans of every school on message boards

4) #2 & #3 need to be presented to major media outlets like Yahoo Sports (our old favorite) and others. A great story needs to be delivered to them with a bow on top

5) Someone with a significant amount of time needs to serve as a catalyst for the above

That is how change would be effected. This needs to become a national story with "legs". We will continue to lose out on certain recruits who "want a change of scenery" until something like the above happens. The playing field is uneven and things need to change.
Do you honestly trust a “federal agency”
Have you not been alive the last two years? They are more corrupt than NCAA ever thought about being

Doesn't matter what the DOJ does unless illegal gambling or other federal laws are broken. The NCAA makes its own rules and has its own sovereignty. And it's highest level officials are literally drinking buddies and golf partners with the chancellors and AD's at the biggest $EC schools.

LOL..."dropping bags" is bribery, which is a Federal crime...College coaches are "agents of Federally funded organizations"...this is basically what the whole basketball & Adidas investigation is about.

But the reason the DOJ doesn't investigate the SEC & some ACC football schools is purely political.

Let the DOJ go snoopin' around Baton Rouge, Tuscaloosa, Athens, Gainesville, Auburn, Death Valley, & Tallahassee, among others, and see what happens...Faux Fie loses 2020 in a landslide.

Yea, and Michigan is pure as the driven snow....riiiiiight. It's a well known fact by most that Devin Bush Jr. signed with Michigan after his father, Devin Bush Sr., got a position on the Michigan staff as an analyst. Some would have you believe that this was purely coincidental and that Michigan had already planned on hiring his father, but that's obviously a bigger bucket of B.S. than flat-earthers try to peddle. I just think it's hilarious that Michigan is crying foul when they've done this same thing many times over the years.
