LSU Bag Man

Miami has. We were investigated for providing tapas and abortions. Of course Laremy Tunsil comes along and all of a sudden there’s nothing to see here.

The abortions is a complete myth. Not even a single shred of evidence, It was a statement made by someone one time. And never even corroborated. Literally made up.

yes it is.
So what the disagreement about? The university at most places I know do the renovations to the university and very seldom ask boosters to cover the bill but to donate(like we did). Since LSU has no money they covered it which in turn hurts what they can do for recruits because booster clubs have budgets too. Boosters aren’t platinum reward cards KW.

you had stated that LSU didn't have the same money it used to pay recruits.

I just said that yes the school doesn't have the State money but TAF has ALWAYS paid the recruits just like every other booster club does that throws bags around so what difference would it make if LSU was broke or not when it came to recruits.

TAF stepped up and donated a lot(not all) of the money necessary to upgrade and renovate the football ops bldg. as well as 3 dorm bldg.'s.They have LARGE POCKETS and are able to do this without much of a problem. They are also getting ready to throw Coach O a nice big extension.

SO whether LSU the school was broke or not wouldn't matter when it comes to paying recruits.

That's all I was alluding too.

Michigan faithful here in Ann Arbor also swear that on signing day, Rashan Gary got an anonymous phone call that he would get 100k if he signed with Clemson.

Ridiculous how no one has been investigated for this yet.

You mean like Miami was for two and a half years?

LMAO "no one has been investigated for it." What team do you follow?

If you think the big boy SEC teams will ever be investigated for any of this, I seriously doubt you understand the landscape of college football.

Full stop. We start dropping bags and we’ll get busted.

I’m convinced that the Department of Justice is out there looking at the NCAA in general and the SEC in particular. We would be well advised to maintain our present course and speed.

Sound like a Navy Captain lol

Doesn't matter what the DOJ does unless illegal gambling or other federal laws are broken. The NCAA makes its own rules and has its own sovereignty. And it's highest level officials are literally drinking buddies and golf partners with the chancellors and AD's at the biggest $EC schools.

Take a breather, dude. It should’ve been obvious I meant any team but us, but I guess some people need help interpreting posts.

Yup, we’re the only program that did since SMU. It’s bull****.

dropping bags is violating federal law. It's bribery, tax evasion, and fraud. Just look at the DOJ college basketball cases

We do that and Emmert will ***** us over like he did the basketball program this year. Cannot understand how this ******* keeps a job when he lets one conference and a few other favorites constantly get away with this. The NCAA is crooked as **** but none of the other schools do anything about it.
The NCAA has been crooked for many, many years!

Is it bribery if it's not given to a government official? I've never paid attention to the rules there, but the tax evasion part is why the families don't talk, or they'll get busted by the IRS. It's the ultimate way to keep people quiet. No one wants the IRS crawling up their ***, especially the people that have received houses and cars. Jobs would seem to be an impossible thing to trace.

I said “investigated for”, did not speak to the veracity of the charge.

That was not even investigated. It was alleged by one reporter. That’s it. It just kept getting repeated over and over again because it was lurid and made for a good headline.

The other SEC schools are way more crooked, their inducements are major league, ours that were proven were limited to cheap Japanese steakhouses and used ratchet appliances.

It’s just that fast boats, strippers, and abortions make for better headlines. Whether they’re true or not is irrelevant.

Not only that, but media luminaries will say that we are not only the worst thing that they have ever seen in college football, but perhaps all of sports. There will be calls to cancel our season or cancel our program.

Agree with you. Interesting however, many college coaches will tell you that college football is a better place when the U is relevant.

Meanwhile Saban leases cars to his players, Alabama recruits post pictures of themselves with massive amounts of cash on national signing day, and nothing is said.
