Lowered Expectations...

Where did I say they don't make you stronger or faster? Anyone with a brain knows this. However, roid rage is a myth. Plain and simple. Just because your buddy on juice says its true, doesn't make it true.

I've done them myself in the past. I'm willing to admit that, because I think the stigma is stupid. If roids make you happy, go for it. Same with weed, or alcohol, or any other drug. But anyway.

We're arguing semantics. Does "roid rage" exist? Depends on what you mean by "roid rage." They definitely make you more confident and aggressive, and they give you insane strength and endurance. That's what I had in mind.

Do they make you fly in to a blind rage out of nowhere? No. But that's not what I meant, either.

Point was that they help a lot on the football field, both athletically and psychologically.

We dropped more bags than Samsonite. We literally ran one of the dirtiest programs in the history of college football.

We got that reputation for a reason - it was true.

This is a flat out lie and the shlt that trolls and Miami haters like to perpetuate.

Seriously go fūck yourself, troll fakkit.

I’m not your dude...and you know nothing about Miami.

You sound like a troll that wants everyone to give up.

Go ahead and be the quitter and loser you want, or the gator troll that you probably are, but stop acting like you know what’s going to happen. You don’t.

I don't care if people give up or if they want to hope that Miami becomes some elite team again. You do you. I'm just speaking my mind, as someone who went to Miami as an undergrad and who has followed this program for a long time.

What other people want to believe is of no consequence to me.

Yeah, OK. Miami never dropped bags. We ran a totally clean program. Everything everyone remembers about the 80's and 90's were totally false. Miami was never the cocaine capital of the world, and everything about the city, the school, and the football team has always totally been on the up-and-up.

We just won because some coach in the 80's "cracked the code."

Got it.

Your a fakkit gator troll. Shut the fūck up with your gator agenda.

Again more uninformed BS by you! Really, our admin has made massive gains in facilities. Is will to pay more for a head coach then ever before and has said OC pay amount is not an issue! As a matter of fact this admin has never been more committed to football ever! We were never this committed during Foote and the trolls reign. Those are facts dummy! And ok we were only a couple of % points from top 10 in 2017. So take our #8 in 2018 plus #12 in 2017 and that avarges top ten. Your flat out wrong In Everything you said and clearly are just spewing your own bull$hit agenda. Kick rocks poser!
actually both posts are correct, but the actions speak louder than words is so spot on it aint funny. If they were that serious about winning football games they would NOT hire a HC thats never coached a game in his life, make sense ?

This is football, not advanced cryptography. There's no "code," my dude.

That is to say, what needs to be done is obvious. Miami has done it before, in the 80's and 90's. And that's what frustrates me as a fan.... it's clear that we're not willing to do what it takes anymore.

Back in the 80's, UM did more steroids than the Bulgarian swim team. We had trainers who would literally shoot the kids up.

We had the best coaches in America... coaches who would go on to win Super Bowls, or who had already won Super Bowls. We had position coaches who would go on to become head coaches in college and the NFL. We had elite, forward-thinking schemes.

We dropped more bags than Samsonite. We literally ran one of the dirtiest programs in the history of college football.

We got that reputation for a reason - it was true.

Now, Miami has tried to distance itself from the past. They've tried to whitewash it. They've put lies out there like "Tad Foote hated football," "Miami was never thug U", etc.

But those of us who remember, we remember.

We ran a program that would make any team in the SEC today blush. We did everything it took to pick our program up from being a nobody to being the greatest there ever was. We gave no *****, and we reaped the rewards.

We'll never do that again. Today's Miami is a pussified, neutered, bland, boring, loser institution. They're not good at anything, and they're mediocre at everything.

It is what it is.
Miami today is like Germany, they are so ashamed of their past with the *****,they are letting their country turn to mierda.

You're right, we don't need bags to beat Duke. The end-goal isn't beatinf teams like Duke though. The end-goal is to beat teams like Clemson and in order to do that we will need bags, and a lot of them.
If we want to get to that end goal, it'd be a good start to consistently beat VT, Duke, UVA and UNC. We can then cash in on some higher level classes. Then we take down Clemson. Then we pull down frontrunning, elite recruits.

"He who would learn to fly one day must first learn to stand and walk and run and climb and dance; one cannot fly into flying." - The Crown Prince of Zamunda, quoting Nietzsche

Clemson didn't strike gold when they hired Brent Venables. He was the best DC in college football before they hired him.

They didn't strike gold when they built the best facilities in the ACC, or when they hired the best position coaches. They didn't strike gold when they dropped bags like crazy for recruits.

They did what had to be done to get to where they are. It was planned, deliberate, and the results totally flow from the work and investment they pt in. There was very little luck involved.

They didn't do any of that until Dabo showed something. Before Clemson became Clemson they hired a position coach from the failed regime prior. He was mediocre for 3 years then basically brings in a high school coach to be OC and the rest is history. Until 2012 Clemson had made cheap risky hires hoping to strike gold.

You weren't even born in the 80s(and if you were, you weren't old enough to watch football). What makes you an expert on how things were run in the 80s.

You're right about that. I was born in the 80's, but I was just a kid.

I know what I know because information is publicly available, and because I'm not stupid. You can read about the old hurricanes teams archived newspapers, you can listen to old interviews, and you can read the old NCAA reports.

Everything I said was true.

You can read about our steroid use in the news clippings and documentation surrounding the Pell Grant scandal. We had a trainer that was supplying steroids to the players.

You know that we had elite coaches because history has shown that much: Howard was the OC for Bear Bryant and then for Don Shula, winning national championships and Super Bowls at both stops. Jimmy went on to win multiple Super Bowls at Dallas, and built the greatest NFL team of the 90's. We had guys like Tubberville, Sonny Lubick, Butch Davis, etc who went on to become head coaches.

Jimmy did clash with Jerry Jones, that much is documented. Same way he clashed with Tad Foote.

Miami was the cocaine capital of the 80's. You can read crime reports or old newspapers to confirm that as well.

So everything I said about the 80's was true.

Was I there? No. Didn't need to be. It doesn't take a genius to realize that times were very different.

I don’t believe It

OK. Good for you.

You're right, I'm probably lying about attending the University of Miami.... that fine and esteemed institution. I just want to hang out on a Miami fanboard because I enjoy following a team that consistently gets its *** whipped on and off the field. I enjoy the suffering.

Of course I went to UM. Why would anybody lie about that?

And I attended Yale for grad school. But I'm sure you don't believe that either.

Except nobody gives a **** about basketball, unless you live in Indiana, Los Angeles, or an inner city up north.

99% of the country change the channel when baseball or basketball come on.

I care that my university plays well in basketball and baseball. Makes one wonder if you’re just enamored with what Miami football used to be, rather than the University of Miami.

You’re right, I don’t.

I generally found in life the people that keep repeating things over and over...It’s because they’re trying to convince you of something that’s not true. Yeah I think you’re lying.

Miami never gave a **** about basketball until we joined the ACC. Donna Shalala hyped up the basketball team. We poured a ****load of money in to that stadium, and a ****load of resources, and we neglected football and let our once-proud football program rot.

Honestly, I resent UM Basketball for the same reason I resent the Marlins. They took resources from the football program.

Also, I'm just not a basketball or baseball fan. Basketball isn't worth watching until halfway through the 4th quarter. Then it's foul, free throw, foul, free throw, etc. It's just boring. And baseball is just slow as ****.

I'm a football fan 100%.

Well, I'm not... so your radar is broken. I'm a very blunt person. When I was a kid, I used to care what other people thought about me. Then I learned that the best way to go through life is to never get validation from anyone else.

Whether you believe I went to UM or not doesn't matter at all. I'm the one who has the memories, I'm the one who has the friendships, I'm the one who has the diploma hanging on my wall. My life is mine. All I'm doing on this site is typing my thoughts on a keyboard. You can take them or leave them.

I'm not going to hate on you for thinking critically and not believing everything you read from an anonymous guy on the internet.

But maybe you'll understand this then.... all I'm doing w. respect to Miami is using that same style of critical thinking. After the last 15 years, I don't believe the sunshine propaganda coming from Hecht. I'm making evaluations based on whatever facts are available to me, and I'm drawing my own conclusions.

You can take them or leave them.

Yep...you never went to the University of Miami.

LYING TROLL CONFIRMED!

LOL bro... you seem like you have issues. The kind needing medication.

Tell me truthfully.... why would somebody lie about going to UM?

What would be their motivation? What would they have to gain from it?

It's just absurd, and in a schadenfreude kind of way, it's amusing.
