"Louisiana Savage" Gerald Willis set to make Canes debut

On one hand, I'm so excited to watch this kid unleash his savagery.

On the other hand, I'm so scared that he'll wind up on the suspension list again this year.

You take the good with the bad. When you recruit and play with savages, **** happens. If he stays on the field, he might be an All-ACC type. He is incredibly gifted

Not comparing them in terms of impact on the field, but Willis got a bit of that Jerome Brown we been missing in him.

I just don't want to see him ejected with 12 minutes left in the first quarter against FSU. He needs to play hard and fast, but also control his emotions. All his talent won't amount for anything if he's not available to play when we need him most.

He's only been suspended once since being here and it's only for a game. Far better than I expected when he initially transferred.

"He's going to listen to coaches and probably make a couple mistakes"

His first mistake was attending that dumpster fire we call UF but you live and you learn.

Most active and effective DL from the bit I got to watch in fall practice. He made NFL plays: slipping between blockers, slanting easily across the interior to change the direction of plays, etc.

Basically, everything you saw Ole Miss' DTs do to FSU is what RJ Mcintosh and Gerald Willis are best at doing.

So, yeah. Thanks, Standish.

Can't wait.

I can't remember when we had a dline we wanted to watch play. I know Brad having Mark to coach him is a big thing, but having Kool unleash a Dline of savages to play the way Miami invented is just frigging making me giddy. ACC better have some old tapes of us if they want to get ready because they have not seen this shi.. in years.

Unless it is for pile driving Cook into their shiny new QB and ending the game for both of them.

I cant wait until this Dline raises **** against GT and that FSU qb. Wooooo, what a time to be alive!

You got me there.... 14:55 left in the first would be just fine.
