lost to a better team. no shame in that.

I’am just giving my assessment. You are as ****ed as I’am, I understand man. A lot of bad decisions scheme and coaching wise tonight. That’s what it is.
Ok . They were not better than us talented or physically. Run the got **** ball again and again. The D did everything they needed. . Disappointed but not upset.

I wouldn't go that far. He's a freshman who didn't get a lot of opportunities for whatever reason. The lone moment he did get could have went for a TD if not for a bad pass by Beck.

Edit: why are Marion, CJ, and Toney on the field all the time?

Because trader sucks. Not sure about the rest.

Honestly not sure why we are so heavy on the starters…. It’s a ballsy approach.

I agree 110%. They weren’t better that’s what I’am getting at. Defense broke eventually, and that’s because Dawson kept on with the same bs. Odd how he woke up when the oh ***** hit him.

Look the truth is you give Cignetti our roster and our staff Indiana’s roster and Cignetti wins by 5TDs.

That said, Mario made us the second best team in America in year four. He has evolved and improved every year. I believe that trajectory will continue.

Not convinced they were better. They certainly were not as good as advertised.

We played them better than anyone.
Disagree. I thought they were better than I originally thought. I truly believed that they would have problems with our physicality, and they did at certain times; but they were very physical as well and their RB's were truly hard to bring down. They were as physical as us and may have been more physical.

That wasnt on the punter. Bauman let the guy walk in. If he just gives any type of effort to block the guy we probably win this game.
True, but a little self awareness there would be good. Had he simply punted the ball instead of stepping sideways, he gets it off, regardless of the **** poor block attempt.

He does that every punt, all year long. I'm sure he expected his guys to actually block and Bauman didnt.

Stop it.
They are better.
Our defense had 2 times to stop them on 4th down and couldn’t get it done. Failed!!
We have a qb that has 52 second on the clock from the 47 yard line and throws a pick.Failed!
We got beat by a team hungrier and better team.
They deserved to lose this game.
Hopefully, it won’t take till 2049 for this team to get another shot.

What a cuck

they were better coached, more disciplined, executed better, gashed us late in the running game when we couldn't do the same. from at least this board's POV, our entire gameplan was to pound the rock and win the trenches. but we lost that matchup, so the fact that we had a chance to win with 1 min left from just fletch's long TD and the passing game opening up in the 4th is more than you can ask for.

yeah we gave up 7 points on the punt block, but they also had uncharaceristic ****ups that resulted in miami points. when you wash out all that, on balance they played better.

i don't feel robbed. if we lost the ole miss game i would have felt way worse - losing to a worse team because of what feel like dice rolls. no, i feel like it's year 4 of the project, and next year we have a top QB, maybe dawson learns from his mistakes (and if not we fire him), and we reload. this is only step 4, and i believe there will be more playoffs and more natty games to come. it's been a great season.

These posts are so dumb

not when we had the game in our grasp in the 4th despite playing a C game filled with mistakes and we literally throw it away unnecessarily. There is room for shame.

Shannon Dawson first half playcalling, shameful
Carter Davis, shameful
Carson Beck, shameful
AND ALEX ******* BAUMAN, SHAME 1000x

I can still be appreciative of the run and the wins I got to experience in person, and realize that Mario is building a long term sustainable program and we will do this dance again soon.

No. Honestly think if Dawson puts less trust in Beck and rides Fletcher at the end of the game we win. Dawsons play calling through the playoffs limited Becks mistakes. Run game+defense, Beck just had to make a few passes and that was the formula for winning. It literally worked throughout the entire playoffs and believe it or not was working tonight. But the ST blunder destroyed it. We haven’t had a catastrophic mental mistake like that in a long time.

Yet even with that Miami wins the game on the final drive just like against Ole ****. Indy was rushing 3, hit Fletcher out of the backfield and let him truck someone and get out of bounds. Unfortunately Dawson trusted Beck to make good decisions and it backfired.

Ignore the rest of the game and ignore only giving up 20 to their offense.

That just it they wasn’t the better team . Their oc is better then Dawson , the qb plsyed better , our te is awful yet Dawson keeps him on the field . He not just awuf today it’s been all year . He drops more than he catches . Our field goal kicker is bad too

Don’t get me wrong.
We didn’t lose the game because of our defense.
However, we make one of those stops when it REALLY mattered, we probably win the title.
We lost because we made too many mistakes, when we knew we had to play mistake football.
And frankly in my opinion, I believe we lost because we have a QB who is unbelievably unclutch. He is not a bad QB, he’s actually pretty good. But if the pressure is on, he almost always folds and finds a way to **** the bed.
Last week against Ole Miss being the exception.
I never want the ball in Becks hand when the game is on the line. He’s just not that guy, and never has been.

Beck is nowhere near the NFL potential of Mendoza or Cam. Hungrier and better, not so much tonight. Bain and Mesidor played hungry and even the IU announcers thought they were incredible. Take away the blocked punt, and maybe UM wins 21-20, although one can never be sure about such things.
Mendoza will not make it 3 years with his reckless running around. Also you have to be better than just throwing back shoulders and rpo in the NFL. What Cam is doing now in the league I do not see Mendoza doing near that. He’s honestly more aligned with Beck than you think when it comes to nfl potential

Don't say the names Mendoza and Ward in the same breath.

They're light years apart as talents. Mendoza is closer to Beck (who isn't an NFL prospect imo) than he is Ward.
If I'm the raiders I take Trinidad Chambliss. Mendoza has a high floor but a too low of a ceiling to be an elite QB or would require a ton of great players surrounding him to win the super bowl like Trent Dilfer. I believe he's a deluxe Trent Dilfer but will not better than half the starting QBs
