Man you knew the mopes would be out in full force.

We had the ball in their territory with a chance to win and somehow we got clowns acting like it was a blowout
 
I was watching the game over at ny friends house and they’re all IU Fans. I know they played the better game but, I still feel sick at the moment. That Blount face mask. Frédérique not picking off one or two balls that were in range.

Well, all that goes into a team. Bad specials, blown assignments, penalties, and coaching are all part of being a good or bad team. Canes are the more talented roster. They are a better team, painful as it is to say.
 
People don’t want to admit this.

That’s sour grapes.

We play this game 10 times, they definitely win at least 7. They are a more well rounded team. We had issues at certain spots that cost us the game — CB, TE, K, and WR.

Our WRs couldn’t get open all game. The rest of the positions are self explanatory.

Our WRs couldn’t make contested catches like theirs. I thought Beck played great until that last throw. Mendoza got bailed out most of the game by his receivers, but he made the plays he needed to when it counted. QB was basically a push tonight.

I’m hurting right now like everyone on here, but there is a reason they were favored by 7.5 at kickoff. There is a reason they were 15-0. They absolutely destroyed the two teams they played before us. People are going to consider that team one of the greatest of all time.

Never mind the fact that we were beat up with injuries and they were almost fully healthy,

It’s not soft to admit they were the better team. I thought we fought like **** to stay in the game late. The difference was, we made mistakes they didn’t. And they made more plays than we did down the stretch.

Good teams don’t beat themselves. Good teams always make the plays when it counts. They deserved it.

Regardless, so proud of our guys. This one will sting forever, but it was such a pleasure watching this team.

It’s not being a “mope”. That’s just the facts my guy.
It’s a great season. We’re the #2 team in the country. Nobody gave us a chance to win this game, we hung in there and fought. We made too many mistakes and folded under pressure (ie defense giving up two 4 and 5s with the game on the line and Beck throwing an unexplainable pic).
Because we were not good enough.
You can go and play your hypotheticals like ND and OSU, but bottom line we lost, because we couldn’t get it done, not because of bad luck.
 
I feel like if we played them again we would win. It took a bit to figure out the defense, and we need our full healthy allotment of CB's.

But we got way more pressure on Mendoza than they did Beck.

They ran and defended A gap better than we did. Their RBs ran harder than any we played all year.

Because you just said... they don't make mistakes while we make a ton...

How is that not the very definition of better?

Im not saying one way or the other here. Im just trying to follow ur logic here

yeah we gave up 7 points on the punt block, but they also had uncharaceristic ****ups that resulted in miami points. when you wash out all that, on balance they played better.

i don't feel robbed. if we lost the ole miss game i would have felt way worse - losing to a worse team because of what feel like dice rolls. no, i feel like it's year 4 of the project, and next year we have a top QB, maybe dawson learns from his mistakes (and if not we fire him), and we reload. this is only step 4, and i believe there will be more playoffs and more natty games to come. it's been a great season.

Everytime they scored was on us. Bain offside on 3rd 13 make it 3rd 8. Multiple penalties They scored on that drive. Freaking block punt bauman just absolutely killed me. 2 4th and 5 and 24 couldn't make a play on the ball. We had our chances.
