lost to a better team. no shame in that.

People don’t want to admit this.

That’s sour grapes.

We play this game 10 times, they definitely win at least 7. They are a more well rounded team. We had issues at certain spots that cost us the game — CB, TE, K, and WR.

Our WRs couldn’t get open all game. The rest of the positions are self explanatory.

Our WRs couldn’t make contested catches like theirs. I thought Beck played great until that last throw. Mendoza got bailed out most of the game by his receivers, but he made the plays he needed to when it counted. QB was basically a push tonight.

I’m hurting right now like everyone on here, but there is a reason they were favored by 7.5 at kickoff. There is a reason they were 15-0. They absolutely destroyed the two teams they played before us. People are going to consider that team one of the greatest of all time.

Never mind the fact that we were beat up with injuries and they were almost fully healthy,

It’s not soft to admit they were the better team. I thought we fought like **** to stay in the game late. The difference was, we made mistakes they didn’t. And they made more plays than we did down the stretch.

Good teams don’t beat themselves. Good teams always make the plays when it counts. They deserved it.

Regardless, so proud of our guys. This one will sting forever, but it was such a pleasure watching this team.
I’m baffled how more was winning deep jump balls in the beginning of the season and then simply went away

The coping needs to stop. The talent is there, but the coaching preparation is not. Heatherman did not put guys in the position to win nor make plays when it mattered most. Mario, he’s rebuilt and brought us back. He’s not going to be the one to win it, sorry.
Ban this ********.

Your mom should be sorry for not drowning you in the bathtub

Well we did actively work against what worked in the run game so idk if that counts as losing the matchup just bad coaching

We shut down that 2019 LSU talk

they were better coached, more disciplined, executed better, gashed us late in the running game when we couldn't do the same. from at least this board's POV, our entire gameplan was to pound the rock and win the trenches. but we lost that matchup, so the fact that we had a chance to win with 1 min left from just fletch's long TD and the passing game opening up in the 4th is more than you can ask for.

yeah we gave up 7 points on the punt block, but they also had uncharaceristic ****ups that resulted in miami points. when you wash out all that, on balance they played better.

i don't feel robbed. if we lost the ole miss game i would have felt way worse - losing to a worse team because of what feel like dice rolls. no, i feel like it's year 4 of the project, and next year we have a top QB, maybe dawson learns from his mistakes (and if not we fire him), and we reload. this is only step 4, and i believe there will be more playoffs and more natty games to come. it's been a great season.
Agreed, losing to a team who puts “Hoddy Toddy” on the back of their helmet would have been a monumental blunder after bouncing Ohio State from the CFP. I’m proud of this Miami team. 80% of us said we had no chance of making the CFP after pummeling Pitt, but we made it, and we almost won the whole thing. We proved we belonged. Beat the crappy overhyped and overrated SEC ***** teams we played. Made it all the way to the final drive with a chance to win it all. Winning a championship in college football is very, very hard. The path for us to even get in the field makes it even more difficult. Biggest priority for this program in the near/distant future is leaving the ACC so we can get more opportunities to make a CFP run because right now, we will need to win every regular season game to even get a chance.

Yeah I'm not quite sure why he lost playing time. He looked really good early in the season and was then just buried on the depth chart behind, quite frankly, mediocre College WRs.

Cignetti's clock management with 5 to go was awful. Bauman not blocking on the blocked punt was a huge failure and put us in a whole we could not recover.

They are a really good team, but so are we. We gifted them 7 points, and our kicker missed a FG. That happens. The punt, though, should NEVER happen. You have to know where you are, and that they block kicks. Stupid, stupid, low football IQ play by a punter cost us the game.
That wasnt on the punter. Bauman let the guy walk in. If he just gives any type of effort to block the guy we probably win this game.

Indiana out coached UM. However, nice season by Mario and the team and they have something to build on in 2026.
Out coached? They got ten points because Miami special teams were pure dogcrap. Period. It wasn't some crazy scheme that got them the punt block, it was Bauman not giving a crap. Our kicker has reverted back to the scrub he was at FAU after being **** good for 85% of the season. That isn't coaching.

Spamming RPOs and backshoulder fades because you can't do anything else isn't masterful coaching, it's a team that is limited as ****. All Miami had to do was play relatively clean, and we couldn't do that. It's frustrating as ****.

His one catch today he did not run the right route on a screen and that ruined a potential big gain. Start getting up field in that formation with no press coverage. That’s why he didn’t play toward the end of the season. Hopefully he develops this offseason and grinds on the small details

I wouldn't go that far. He's a freshman who didn't get a lot of opportunities for whatever reason. The lone moment he did get could have went for a TD if not for a bad pass by Beck.

Edit: why are Marion, CJ, and Toney on the field all the time?

not better, just made a few more plays ... but we didn't flinch, duck, or dodge

Why does everyone feel the need to speak in absolutes and hot takes. It was literally a hand full of okays and they got us…. No one **** the bed. No one was dog walked. Carson beck didn’t **** up. Dawson isn’t a piece of ****. They made more plays. End of discussion. Proud of this ******* team!
