lost to a better team. no shame in that.

Beck is nowhere near the NFL potential of Mendoza or Cam. Hungrier and better, not so much tonight. Bain and Mesidor played hungry and even the IU announcers thought they were incredible. Take away the blocked punt, and maybe UM wins 21-20, although one can never be sure about such things.
Don't say the names Mendoza and Ward in the same breath.

They're light years apart as talents. Mendoza is closer to Beck (who isn't an NFL prospect imo) than he is Ward.

The coping needs to stop. The talent is there, but the coaching preparation is not. Heatherman did not put guys in the position to win nor make plays when it mattered most. Mario, he’s rebuilt and brought us back. He’s not going to be the one to win it, sorry.
Stfu. This is diabolical ****. This program was a dumpster fire before Mario and you have the nerve to disparage him tonight? Not a Canes fan.

I will never understand why we opted to go for a 50 yarder than trying our luck on 4th and 2 at the end of the first half. I feel like that was the difference in the game.
That's because for whatever he is, he coaches a little bit scary which makes him go into a conservative shell whenever he's uncertain, I like him a lot and I'm glad he's our coach but at the end of the day he's not quite the killer he thinks he is. He coaches not to lose instead of coaching to win.

But he's building a monster and I'll rock with him, will be back next year

It hurts rn. But I think it’s a game I’ll be able to watch again. Never gave up and played through not having a Qb.

They just wanted more. That can happen at the top.

And on the other sideline, Cig changed his mind on 4th and 5, took a timeout and decided to go for it.

That's playing for the win and I respect it.

Mendoza is a game manager. All he does is rpo and back shoulder throws

Agree about Beck. People have Mendoza pegged as the #1 pick. Ward showed significant improvement toward the end of the Titan season. With more talent around him, he will be good in the NFL.

No **** it was dumpster fire. 100% a canes fan. He’s done a lot, and got us back. But the reality is they do less with more. We made it to the NC. But at some point the coaching errors showed back up and unfortunately that was tonight. I just don’t see him getting us to 6. Just do not see it.

Their coaching was solid but they also played with poise which is what I would expect an older veteran squad to do

Better team my ***. Miami beat themselves, point blank period. A truly superior team would have stomped Miami out tonight, especially in the first half. Indiana held on for dear life, because we couldn't get out of own way, making it possible for their spammy offense to stay out of trouble. Miami with a competent ST showing wins tonight. Ten points, TEN POINTS given to an IU team that was offensively limited. Miami needed to get out in front and force IU to play from behind, we didn't do that. We instead decided to ***** around and not use our superior depth to wear IU down. Miami should have gone tempo early in the game and forced IU to substitute, we didn't and by the time it finally happened, it was too late.

People don’t want to admit this.

That’s sour grapes.

We play this game 10 times, they definitely win at least 7. They are a more well rounded team. We had issues at certain spots that cost us the game — CB, TE, K, and WR.

Our WRs couldn’t get open all game. The rest of the positions are self explanatory.

Our WRs couldn’t make contested catches like theirs. I thought Beck played great until that last throw. Mendoza got bailed out most of the game by his receivers, but he made the plays he needed to when it counted. QB was basically a push tonight.

I’m hurting right now like everyone on here, but there is a reason they were favored by 7.5 at kickoff. There is a reason they were 15-0. They absolutely destroyed the two teams they played before us. People are going to consider that team one of the greatest of all time.

Never mind the fact that we were beat up with injuries and they were almost fully healthy,

It’s not soft to admit they were the better team. I thought we fought like **** to stay in the game late. The difference was, we made mistakes they didn’t. And they made more plays than we did down the stretch.

Good teams don’t beat themselves. Good teams always make the plays when it counts. They deserved it.

Regardless, so proud of our guys. This one will sting forever, but it was such a pleasure watching this team.
I disagree. We outgained them. It was bad coaching and special teams blunders. If this game goes 5 quarters we win it.
