Imagine committing to a school as a 5 star and that school never gives you a real shot.

Now imagine a program that is better at the moment comes calling..... what would you do?

What do you mean? The whole thing with this kid is he DIDNT play!

Yes..kid asked for a redshirt so he wouldn’t burn eligibility. That’s your first evidence ..when he says he was dreaming about it that’s your second piece of evidence...it tells you what his mind was set on..he and his cousin going to UF..y’all think this some big conspiracy on why the staff didn’t play him..when the facts tell the truth. The kid was checked out...given the fact he bolted when there’s gonna be open comp for that RB1 with Deejay gone that’s your 3rd piece of evidence ..he’ll have 2 years to play 2

I dont think he was screwed over. I think the knee injury was devastating and he isn't the same RB. Miami doesn't lose anything with him transferring.

For some reason fans want to see conspiracies in a player not seeing the field. Most times the simplest explanation is the correct one. Lingard isn't a 5 star back anymore after the injury, couldn't beat out any others for a starting spot, and isn't willing to compete for a spot next year.
 
Kid accomplished nothing here in two years under two different OC, under two different RB coach

Guess what there was no conspiracy, either he just wasn’t that good and couldn’t beat out anyone, he was legit injured, or both

imagine playing kids based on their recruiting rankings from HS..Imagine being a fan and ignoring facts as to why the kid didn’t play this year..imagine defending a kid who says he was “dreaming about being a gator during the Season”..imagine that

It seems like people are arguing both sides. Why would he (and his dad) be ****ed that he’s not playing, but then also say he went to Manny to get a redshirt to not play and save eligibility? Reed, Hightower, & any other player that didn’t want to play or be here just left the team & entered the portal, so that theory makes zero sense when he could’ve left already instead of staying and practicing everyday.

The kid tore up his knee..your right there no conspiracy. Kid told us exactly what it was in the ig..ppl on here acting like he should’ve started regardless of those facts based on him being a 5 star out of hs

I tend to agree with this. Even if he was healthy, no way he runs through gaps with this offensive line.

...Why is Butch Barry still employed?

I think you're probably mostly correct but what is also probably fueling some of the angst here is that most of us don't trust this staff to evaluate talent (see the delay in Rousseau seeing full-time action). So there IS a possibility that this kid goes to godforsaken UiF and balls out so people are already mad and selecting targets for their blame.

As I said, I'm personally apathetic. These kinds of things where the kid isn't seemingly completely in the wrong for leaving are too energy consuming to cate about when we got 10000 other issues.

bro when you put it all together..he was gone for a while now..he’s probably gonna put in for a waiver to play right away..idk what the basis of that will be
