Looking at the 2014 schedule...

The thing i love is that there is not one game, we cant win. every game we have an opportunity reason being is because how close we played FSU last year before Talent and Depth took over. FSU is nowhere near that team this year and all the other teams are trying to adjust to whatever. if we come out early and be physical for 4 qtrs we can win all those games no doubt.

what schedule yall looking at? nebraska is not a bad team. they got a pretty good rb and wr and they got some players on defense. wouldnt be shocked if we take that L. fsu is better than us. unc got some talent on both sides of the ball.

we should beat vt. they are waiting on a 3rd string qb from texas tech to come in this summer and be the starter and they lost a lot on defense but have a great secondary.

louisville even without teddy they still got most of that team back from last year.

i see 9-3 maybe 10-2 but with a lot of luck maybe 11-1.

If we get decent play from our qb and dt we have ton ALL over the field. Should be an interesting season. 10 wins is the floor for me.

2014: NO EXPECTATIONS = NO DISAPPOINTMENTS

when the biggest question mark on the team is at the most important position, it's difficult to really know what what to expect out of the team. However, there are a lot of other teams in the ACC that also have questions at QB & none of those teams have theDUKE..that obviously helps.

how can you say that? they had 8 players drafted/signed by NFL teams; 3 of which drafted in the 1st rd & 1 in the 3rd rd (all before UM had a player selected) & lost 17 seniors to graduation. IF you think they didnt lose a substantial amount of talent from last year's team, you're mistaken; IMO

Ignoring us and looking at just the opposing teams:

Louisville lost a lot of good talent on their defense in Calvin Pryor (S, First Round Pick), Marcus Smith (DE, First Round Pick and 2 sacks against us) and Preston Brown (ILB, 3rd Round Pick/Leading Tackler). In addition, they lost Hakeem Smith (S, All-American Conf Team) and Brandon Dunn (DT). On offense, they lost their best player in Bridgewater. He was elite and a first round pick. Other notables include Damian Copeland (WR, 58 for 780 Yards and 5 TDs) and Senorise Perry (RB, 677 Rushing Yards and 6 TDs).

They did return some key players on offense in DeVante Parker (WR), Dominique Brown (RB) and Gerald Christian (TE) but who will deliver the ball to them? They will likely have an open QB competition this summer as they just brought in JUCO QB Patrick Thomas. As for defense, they have Lorenzo Mauldin (DE) but how good will he be without Marcus Smith and a new HC/DC?

We all know about the coaching staff, it is completely new. Who knows how quickly it will take till they're running at maximum ability?

UNC lost their best players on offense in Ebron (TE, 1st Rd Pick), Bodine (OL, 4th Rd Pick), Hurst (OL) and Renner (QB) and some other notables on defense in Tre Boston (S, 4th Rd Pick), Tim Jackson (DT), Kareem Martin (DE, 3rd Rd Pick) and Jabari Price (CB, 7th Rd Pick) on defense.

VT lost some good talent on defense in JR Collins (DE), Antonie Exum (CB, 6th Rd Pick), Kyle Fuller (CB,1st Rd Pick), James Gayle (DE), Derrick Hopkins (DT), Tariq Edwards (LB) and Jack Tyler (ILB). One other player is Andrew Miller (OL, 34 Total Starts). They also lost a player that JUST HURT US in Logan Thomas (QB, 4th Rd Pick).

They still have Bud Foster, so they will bring it on defense. Returning Kendall Fuller, Luther Maddy and Brandon Facyson helps. As for offense, who knows? They will probably be crappier than last year even though their WRs (3 of them with over 600 yards receiving).

Nebraska has one of the best RBs in the nation but they lost a ton of OL in Spencer Long (3rd Rd Pick), Andy Rodriguez, Brent Qvale and Jeremiah Sirles (they had 113 starts between them). They also lost Quincy Enunwa (WR) who was their leading WR (51 for 753 and 12 TD). On defense they lost some quality players Jason Ankrah (DE), Thad Randle (DT), Ciante Evans (CB, First-Team All-Big Ten), Drew Green (CB/S) and Stan Jean-Baptiste (CB, 2nd Rd Pick).

Cincinnati worries me more than Louisville, especially if Ryan Williams is back for Louisville. With a healthy Ryan Williams I think we only lose to FSU (twice, unfortunately).

Ryan Williams, our Ryan Williams? Back for UL?

Why does Cinn worry you?

Yeah, why not?

Cincy had a decent year last year, they're well coached, and if Gunner Kiel is the real deal they could be even better. I think Louisville lost too much (and Cincy took them to OT last year). I still think we win, but I think that's a game people are overlooking.

I doubt RW is back that quickly but I am no medical expert.

As for Cincy, they lost to USF, UL, Illinois and UNC last year. Yes, that USF.

They lost Anthony McClung who is their best WR. He had 72 Receptions, 939 Yards and 5 TDs in the 2013. Starting QB: Brendon Kay 262 for 395 3302 Yards (66.3%) and 22 TDs 12 INTs is gone.

Austen Bujnoch (OL), Sam Longo (OL), Dan Sprague (OL) and Blake Annen (TE), Greg Blair (ILB), Arryn Chenault (S), Deven Drane (CB), and Jordan Stepp (DT) are all gone.

Gunner Kiel, no idea what to expect just that he and Olsen are tied the same amount of snaps in college but Gunner has one more transfer. Gunner may not be the starter either, it could be Munchie Legaux (granted extra year).

you can look at what they lost but look at what they have behind them. louisville has gerald holliman at safety a former 4 star who was top 5 at his position. they have flyodd(4ints) and know you remeber gaines(5ints) at cb. in there 3-4 mauldin(9.5 sacks), keith brown, james burgess(knocked crawford *** out) at lb. with bj dubose and sheldon rankin up front.

they have their qb with gardner who from what i heard has been lighting **** up. they got parker and rodgers at wr. you will prolly see james quick this year too who was a top 10 wr in the 2013 class.
