In saying that, this was a very lackluster portal class. So the limited decent prospects available are going to have more competition. In my eyes, safety and wide receiver were the top priorities. There were some legitimate safeties on the board, not so much wide receiver.

Will also take schools up to 48 hours to process paperwork, so names will probably trickle in til Monday
I might be misremembering but I thought this came up before and it was actually “business days”

Wouldn’t surprise me to still be seeing names on Wednesday of next week with how weird all this **** has been

I’m still going to hold full judgement until Monday after everyone has entered. However, this **** is not looking too **** good.

Realistic options currently

WR-Marion
LB-Bonner
K-Auburn

We still have a massive hole at safety. That’s the only position I’m truly concerned with. Getting an extra DT would have been nice, but it would have been for depth. There really hasn’t been a truly number 1 WR that has entered so Marion would be good and gets bonus points for his return ability.

Would add Traore at LB from Rutgers.

Safety sounds like Greg Smith, WR has been an unmitigated disaster but nothing we can do except root on the young guys or pray a grad transfer stud enters the portal in a few weeks.
We are so ****ed. Not even a quality DT left in the portal and the BYU WR is a glorified kick returner.

We’re rolling with 3 DTs that have ever even played a snap in the fall.
We are far from playoff caliber at DT, WR, safety and LB. It’s going to come back to bite us hard.

Heatherman is a beast, but this is a tall, tall task with this current group of guys.

I can’t believe we’re leaving Carson Beck out to dry like this. Our best WR is an often-injured guy that couldn’t crack it at LSU and feasted in the worst football conference in the country at Liberty. He’s someone’s WR3 at the P4 level, not a WR1. Drove me crazy that we didn’t go after guys harder in the Winter. And if the excuse was we didn’t know who the QB was, well then why did we not execute in the Spring?

Oh well. At least we’re roster retention offseason champions.

Rolling the dice on A LOT of freshmen/redshirt freshmen or guys that haven’t/hardly played at this level.

This season will be all about the development of last year’s depth guys. And if it’s not OL, development under Mario has been….underwhelming to say the least.

Remember that Miami Heat season where the second half of the season they were hot and then they reupped Dion Waiters and James Johnson? Ahhhh getting complacent will get you left.
