We have a huge advantage over Southern Cal.

No state income tax.

There's a reason Tiger Woods headquartered in Orlando. California has punishing state taxes and regulations. Yes, a good Beverly Hills accountant can shelter a lot of income, but at some point, you have to pay him, too. And eventually, Sacramento, as well as D.C., wLks home with a lot of your money.

Why not pay an accountant on Brickell Avenue to park the income you didn't have to pay to the State of California in a growth fund in Grand Cayman?

If we can get anywhere close to the Trojans, we are in the game.
 
I like Butch, but to seriously hear Chip is in the running, I'll be all in!! I just want Miami to be relevant again, it would be a blessing to to finally watch fsu & jimbo get their **** pushed IN!! LOL, I can't any wait longer!!

Probably true. We won 7 games this year with Golden/Scott at the helm (with a legit chance to win 8 if they beat Pitt this week). You really think if Kelly is coaching this year we lose to Cincinnati, FSU, UNC, or Pitt? With that said, I will dance the happy dance the day D'Onofrio is relieved of his duties.

Have you even been on campus in the last 2 years? Practice fields look great. Schwartz Center is first rate. It's just smaller which isn't an issue since Miami has about half the student athletes the big schools have. The indoor practice facility will be in within next couple of years. They're updating campus housing.

Mainly, because I just don't see why he would be deciding between Miami or USC. He knows everything about the PAC-12/West Coast. USC has everything Miami has to offer and way more. The only thing Miami has to offer is an easier path to the conference championship but Kelly has already proven he could win the PAC-12 at a lesser school.

And even if this were true, we'd still, ultimately, have to compete with other possible openings, mainly Texas/LSU/Georgia. I expect one of those to open up, maybe even two. Highly doubt we land Kelly but if we do, we're officially back.

Which would make it a much easier path to the playoffs. I'm not sure folks are grasping that Miami is going to spend a lot of money this time around.

The worst we can do is Butch. Better yet, imagine Chop as HC and Butch as DC and assistant HC.

The ACC refs might never let us win another game.

Only tax benefits in CA are for those in the entertainment business... maybe if they get their HC a daytime soap...
 
So this is personal with Butch .Because if they go after Kelly who had an NCAA show cause and refuse Butch then one cannot make the argument that NCAA issues are what deselected Butch. Its personal with these BOT ********.
