Live Thread Updates- High School Media Day

Spoke with Yulkeith Brown, he still has Miami as one of his top schools but he doesn't want to make an early decision. Still wants to take visits to UGA, UF, FSU, Miami and some others. UM is recruiting him as an athlete and he says he is open to playing on either side of the ball. Banda has been his main recruiter and they've built a good relationship. Planning on getting to a few home games this year at Hard Rock. Still waiting on an LSU offer, said they'd be one of his top schools if it came in.

We could go undefeated & win the natty this year & Xzavier Henderson still ain't coming.

That's BJ's lil brother, we were that kid's first offer when he was in 8th grade, if he were serious about considering us he would've already committed.

Hasn't taken a single visit the entire year, that kid has 0 interest in us, we're just a hat on the table for decoration purposes.
 
Recent 2020 St. Thomas CB offeree Jahvante Royal maintains his commitment to Pitt but is open to hearing what Miami has to offer. Has been in contact with coach Rumph. No current visits planned, but does want to get on campus and begin getting familiar with the Miami coaching staff since the relationship is so new.

Some notes:
Marcus Dumervil continues to be very open with his recruitment. He will likely take an OV to USC when the dead period is over. He also said he will attend a few Miami games this year. He will not be making a decision until February.
I put in an NC State prediction for linebacker Devon Betty. He will take an official to Raleigh on September 6th.

Dumervil and his family are making even the bag men blush with their bag demands. We have ZERO chance as of today, and that may be a good thing, because they are a walking NCAA major recruiting violation.

When asked if he was still 100% with Miami, Willie Moise said you can add another zero to that. He said he's pretty much shut things down, still talks with Auburn now and again and may visit, but he said it'd be just to enjoy the process. Him and his family have developed a strong bond with coach Stroud and Stroud has been a big part of keeping him committed when Simpson left

2021 WR commit Jacolby George said he felt a strong pull to Miami at Paradise Camp and he felt he had to commit. Said he was star struck talking with Michael Irvin and Duke Johnson. Coach Stubbs told him he sees a lot of himself in George's game and really made him feel wanted. Still going to take visits, but unsure where as of now.
